Could I firstly suggest you do a search on the site using our fantastic search facility. If you put in the word "Supercharger", I can assure you it will return 10 PAGES (yes,TEN) of previous threads talking about the TTE Supercharger and everything you'd possibly wish to know about them.

By the way, while you are enjoying the vast information available to you on the site, please do consider joining our GOLD membership scheme to make some wonderful savings on your future purchases (inc Supercharger), servicing and plenty more.

On a final note - a couple of members have atempted to turbocharge the IS200, but I have found THIS THREAD for you which answers the same question you ask.

Enjoy!

Zee. :)

There are lots of factors involved, but my view is that the supercharger is better if you wanted a simple bolt on system that has been well tried and tested.

However it is easier to obtain more power from a turbo.

That's the simple answer, but it's a case of horses for courses.

From reading threads (some mentioned by Zee above)...

A supercharger can be bolted on in a few hours, and will give you approx 210/220bhp. (0-60 7.5secs)

One of the members here is having a turbo fitted, which will give 525bhp... but it is a custom system (I think).

And it's worth remembering, if you have a s/c you will get the constant whine inside the car....

the whine is not that noticeable with the normal air filter system that comes with the kit.........however with the TDi induction kit its always there.....but its a lovely noise !

Also when you give it some stick the noise levels increases and when you change gear the pressure relief valve blows off and the people you are passing nearly **** thereselves  & pedsetrians stop & stare....... :whistling::whistling:

I would like to know what else Si Skippy is doing to his car becoz your not gonna

get 525hp from a single turbo conversion, thats almost 400 bhp increase over

standard to get that kind of increase much more has to be done ie:crank, con rods,

low comp pistons ecu and more.

so spill da beans Si, :winky:

A progress report would be nice :whistling::whistling:

Stage one will be a simple  manifold boost controller fuel pump fuel lines turbo fuel regulator etc.

Stage two is the low compression engine, pistons rods, MoTeC M800 etc running 1.5 or 1.6 bar boost, then depending on what they say progressive Nos on top. It will still be a LONG way off Matt's monster but it will keep me happy for now.

And as for a progress report, hang on it doesn't even start till JAE
