Hi guys, i took my front pads out yesrerday to give them a clean and put coppersilp on them, as they were making that clunking noise AGAIN. When i took the inside pad out ( one at rear of caliper) i noticed the top clip that holds the pad into the caliper was actually attached to the pad with, what looks like a kind of pot rivet. Is this the way its suppose to be ? I thought the clips was seperate from the pad and should go into the caliper ?

lol.....

its ment to be like that, that doesn't hold the pad at all..its a wear indicator, when the pad gets low part of that clip will touch the disk causing a really annoying noise...
