Evening

I am getting my alloys refurbed soon as they aren't looking too great as they are flaking.

Whilst I am getting them refurbed, I'm not sure if I should stick to the original silver colour, or go for a Graphite grey/Gunmetal grey colour?

What do you guys think - input and photos welcomed

My car is a MK2 GS300 in silver with the 5 spoke alloys

Regards,

Addz

I've just had my spare set of mk1 Sport wheels refurbed and winter tyres put on, they were done in light anthracite, which is still pretty dark compared the bright silver sparkle of the main set. They look great off the car and not seen them on the car yet but they will be going on in the next few days. Mine is a GS430 Sport in silver.

Mine is a GS300 Sport Mk1 and its had its wheels powdercoated in a kind of dark gun metal grey. Looks really good. I think the dark colour really sets off the silver and gives it that extra kick. Mind, it was only done a couple of years ago and is now curbed to hell so I'm going to have to repair it and bring the sparkle back to them. I think the colour though is absolutely spot on.

Not at the moment. I can do some of the wheels off the car in the morning, if you want some on the car, that will probably be at the weekend unless I end up putting them on one evening.

I will be going for a similar colour - thanks for input

They look really great. Can I ask, what did you pay (ball park)?

They were £55 per wheel, which isn't the cheapest about but the quality is 1st class. I did have to pay a bit extra as once the paint was stripped off the 10" rears, one of them had two cracks in (a common issue on the 10" rears), so they needed welding.
