Sliding Feel When Turning Slowly 220D

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if anyone could explain why I get the effect.

When I am turning at slow speed and not necessary full lock I get the feel of the front wheels slipping sideways as I am turning.

It's as if the car is so stiff that the car slides sideways whilst turning.

Yo u can feel and hear this effect.

Is this normal as I cannot remember noticing it when I bought it.

Perhaps it has started since the wetter weather.

Does anybody else have this?

Carl

Same effect with the IS250/350/220D and the IS-F at slow speeds when the steering is at full lock, as the rear wheel drive pushes (or pulls as the same can occur in reverse) the front tyres, and they try and slide rather than rotate.
