Petrol To A Tank.

Guy im going to be swaping the Beetle for is saying that he see's 370miles out a full tank?

is this true? / possible?

I normaly get about 375-385 from a full tank.

You need to take into account the IS200 tank hold 70 litres which may be a lot more than your VW.

the beetle has a 60 litre tank.. and its weighs just like a tank.

ive had many performance cars mate just trying to guage how well a lexus does.

Lol, in a word it dos'nt!

Had a 2Lt 306 woth a 60Lt tank and that got a lot more foot down abuse that the IS200 does, and that gave me 400+ every time.

I get 430-450 out of a full tank on every tank. That's a twenty five minute journey each way, roughly half motorway and half urban rush hour traffic. I would be seriously looking at my driving style and the health of the engine if I was getting 375 to a tank.

when i went to jae last year i managed 400 miles to a tank that was sitting around 90mph all the way

I know its my driving style, a tank is normally 280 miles sat in the outside lane of the motorway, then the rest would be short trips around the doors or B road blasts. i know if i sit a 50 i will get better mpg, but i simply dont have time to do it!

IS200 will average mid 20's mpg urban and not much over 30 on a run at 80+ - had mine 7 years and it's always been around those figures. Gonna get a GS450h next, one of the new shape soon to be released. Mate of mine manages Lexus Sidcup and he was flown to Spain a couple of weeks ago to give one a blast - he wouldn't shut up about it, every bit as good as an F10 5 series he reconed and as quick as a 535D.
