What Oil For Top Ups On Rx 400H

Recommended Posts

Hi there. I would say it depends on what oil was used at your last service. I would always ensure the same grade of oil is used. Not neccesarily the brand. Take a look at the service record and any receipts. Failing that speak to the garage that did the last service and see what grade oil they use. Hope this helps.

I have had a RX300 almost since new and not once have I needed to top up my oil, in fact anything. As long as a car is serviced properly, the only thing that should require opening the bonnet, is to top up the windscreen fluid !!

If I had a 400h (especially a youngish car like yours) and needed to top up the oil, I would be concerned !!!

having had an RX300 and now an RX400, both from new, I would readily endorse the comment about any need to top up the oil between services.

Any Lexus/Toyota dealer will sell you a top-up can of oil if you feel happier to carry one.

The recommended grade is SAE 5W-30 semi or fully synthetic. Take your pick from your local Motor Factor.
