Tail Lamp Unit Colouring, Internal

Got a replacement tail lamp unit for my is200 but inide the unit was a chrome effect and mine is powder grey and was told that colouring would have been an optional extra when car was bought, is this true? Thanks

Hello and welcome to the LOC.

If the colour was an option then both types should be available as spares from Lexus.

They weren't options, they were changes. up to 2004 (I think) all IS200's had chrome lights (front and rear) and from 2004-2005 (might have been 2003-2005) they had dark (grey) lights front and rear.

There were 3 types, chrome, dark chrome and satin.
