Just wanted to say hi,I've been a member for a while and as you can see from my username was originally after a Ls430 but always liked the Ls400 too, just found one at the right price and colour combo etc for me so was a bid on eBay and to my surprise drove it home last night.

I'm so pleased with it, so much car for so little money,my dad used to work for Lexus years ago and always wanted one but it just never happened till now. It's got a couple of little probs so will be searching this forum for tips! Anyone else on here from Kent? Ben

Hi Ben, LS400 is a great car, my dad has one too (a 98 ) and its like being driven around on a sofa! such a smooth ride! he had a Similar age S Class merc before and in my opinion that's not a patch on the LS ride. . Is this your first Lexus altogether or first Lexus LS?

Hi Ben, your going to love this car, I bought my LS400 recently, (98 model) and love it, so smooth and powerful to drive, i had to replace the gas shocks on the bonnet recently, as they were knackered, your probably wise to this, but never source parts from a Lexus dealer, their prices are astronomic, hope you have many hours of pleasure driving your LS400.all the best, Iain.

Btw, your comment about not liking your wheels, are they corroded? mine are, I know an online supplier, who does Lexus wheels at reasonable price -the same price that a wheel-refurbisher quoted me, so I'm still deciding, believe it or not, Halfords do a tyre/wheel combination at around £600 total, which ain't half-bad looking,Iain.

Hello and welcome to the LOC all of you.

I've had my 1994 LS400 import for over 6 years now, apart from regular servicing including the cambelt at 60,000 miles ( now at 81,000) and a starter motor repair I have ever had a problem with it.

For the money you can't really go wrong.
