Cambelt Change When Is It Usually Done Std Time/miles

Recommended Posts

I have read it is every 100K or 10 years but I would say 60k 6 years is safer.

Yes it is also wise to change the tensioner and idler whilst in there, water pump would also be a good idea but provided there is no evidence of leaking or bearing wear you may be OK leaving that until the next time.

Agree with Steve. I change every 60k, 6 years even tho my handbook says 100k. I also change any Auxillary belts every 60k.

As Steve says change the idler and tensioner that's the expensive bit! I didn't change my water pump as it was in perfect working order with no leaks etc..
