The pollen filter is in the back of the glove box behind a small flap which flips down and the filter can be eased out. The arrow points up so replace it the same way.Directly below is the fan sucking the air down. I turned the filter upside down and gently tapped it to loosen the muck and then opened the grooves with finger and thumb and hoovered the mesh clean before washing in soapy water and rinsing with clean, leting it dry before replacing. When I was busy, I cleaned the air filter the same way. It had a black layer of dry gunge (sorry, no pics)which lifted off easily, before hoovering and washing. The filter is removed easily by sliding back the flap on the air intake trunking and the filter can be lifted straight up.

Dropped the good lady in Guildford to do some shopping , and , as the pollen filter warning light was on, I thought I'd pop into Lexus Guildford and let them do it. £64. Will know better next time.
