My SportCross is in for it's sevice today and I have a CT200h as a courtesy car and it's very nice. I feel cocooned in the drivers cockpit and am really liking the dash display.

Is it just this car, or does the eco mode run the Battery down quickly? Stop start town driving and short journeys appear to deplete the hybrid Battery, will need to go for a long drive to charge it up again . . .

Stil very nice though . . .

I have the GS hybrid and although they have much improved the hybrid system on this new model it will still only travel about 2 miles purely on electric power alone, that doesn’t seem far but as soon as you come of the accelerator or brake, you are recharging the batteries. Also as soon as you exceed 30 mph or accelerate firmly the engine will take over, so unless you are travelling in very slow moving traffic for more that 2 miles the batteries shouldn’t go flat.

However if is possible that the engine may cut in prematurely if you are using a lot of electrical equipment,( heater, wipers, lights, heated seats, heated rear screen, ) ect, to recharge the main Battery, especially if you only do short trips, 5/6 miles like me.

I seriously considered buying one of these Stuart. Had it on 48 hour test drive and I also had one for 24 hours when I put mine in for service and cambelt. They had to keep my car overnight as the parts didn't show up! Lol...

I did a write up on it and Caused a bit of offence but my opinion is the same. I found it a bit 'plasticky' inside but each to their own. Didn't like the engine, the hard suspension, road noise etc...

I really liked the pop up screen and mouse thing and stereo/sat nav system. And I loved the seats with adjustable heaters, but that's about it!

Chris, you're right. Road noise and wind are surprisingly loud when the car is running electrically, but there is a good punch when the engine kicks in, not that you initially notice. Yes the dash felt cheaper than my is200, but with more gadgets.

In eco mode, the dials remain blue until you really stamp on the accelerator, when the blue fades out, in normal and sport, when you accelerate too hard it turns red in an attempt to get you to calm down. It hard 4500 miles and an average mpg of 44.3.
