Lightweight flywheel

Recommended Posts

a light weight flywheel will improve acceleration ,because ther will be less mass to spin up initially, however it will also make stop go driving a pain as the lighter flywheel will also slow down quicker aswell making juddering crap gearchanges

but for acceleration its a good addition

It will make a big difference on hills as well. The car will lose speed very quickly when going up hills with a lightened flywheel. Well the Altezza did in Grand Turisimo 2 anyway!

Because the IS200 is relatively low on torque anyway (195 Nm) I would not recommend installing a lighter flywheel. You won't have any grunt left.

If you have the TTE kompressor the lighter flywheel should be perfect because there you have enough of everything.
