Why do people do this? Could be well stung if you didn't know.

At least this one has hasn't had the badges changed and I think there's only a couple of hundred left on the UK roads.

Certainly isn't a 1998 model year the shifter,Clock/AC unit date it as a 1993-1994 model same as mine but with double the mileage.

Agreed as a "Trader" they should know the difference and not display misleading false advertisements, mine was sold as a Toyota Celsior.

Not sure on the amount left registered in the UK now I thought it was low 20s.

The immediate giveaway is the wider rear light clusters, followed by the lack of RDS display on the audio control panel. (The radio on JDM models might not cover 88-108MHz either, by the way.)

And of course, the Toyota logo on the steering wheel.

(But what's that red switch by the shifter?)

Red button is for interactive TV :D

No it's the shift over ride button, if the engine is off and you want to move from park to say neutral to move the car pressing the button allows this.
