Caliper Query

I have been reading all the posts on sticking calipers, etc and this is the first time my car has ever suffered with this and i've owned it 3.5 years so quite lucky from the sounds of it. Its the front right wheel.

What I really want to find out is when you order a new caliper do you need to order pistons and any other parts or does it come as one? I might be asking a silly question but I have no idea.

The sterring wheel judders after braking and the wheel is fairly hot and gives quite a nasty burning smell.

I also have a what can only be described as a 'jingling' noise coming from the rear right hand wheel, i thought it was the hear shield as it was loose but its still doing it so will ahve to get the garage to poke around.

Has anyone else suffered with a similar noise, i wondered if a stone had got stuck in there somewhere as that has happened before!

thanks

Was the front right on mine too. what year is yours? A new caliper will fix your problem, comes with pistons. You re-use everything else but give it a good grease while your at it, slide pins, clips etc.

Im now just waiting for my other side to go, its been about 5 months now

There is another option and that is to buy a rebuild kit and then either do the rebuild yourself or get your garage to do it.

The company below supplies the kit for both sides.

Also if the slide pins have rusted it may be worth replacing these at the same time they are around £10.00 each from Lexus.

BTW welcome to the LOC :D
