Well gust got off the phone with Lexus and they have told me to buy and install a New tyre pressure monitor will cost £135+v.a.t. What I find disgusting is that I can find the part for £40 so I'm being charged well over £100 pounds to fit and initialize (via Ecu)this part. Can't say that my first dealings with Lexus fill me with confidence.

That's what scares most of us oldies with Mk1 - 4 Ls400s, they are so relatively simple to maintain yet probably aren't much less comfy etc than later 430s and 460s ( maybe )

The main reason I turned down the 430 when I decided to move on from my Mark 1 400 was this constant addition of less than useful gadgets to the later models as Malc says more stuff to go wrong and more difficult to self obtain and fit.

Can't say about the comfort but if they are anymore comfortable than a mark 4 ls400 I would never get off the drive ZZZZZZZZZ!.

Not sure of the cost difference if any but this job can also be done by a Toyota dealer.
