Hi Guys

I have a paid for 2009 grey ISF with just over 40K on the clock but seem to have fallen for a very low mileage 2013 model at my local stealers that will involve a three year HP and 'balloon' payment. Is this completely nuts, should I just keep my existing car, or do the late models with LSD, suspension tweaks and interior upgrades make the difference to justify this kind of decision?

Head says no, heart says yes etc.

Any feedback appreciated :)

Here I sit in my 195,000 miler GS450h wondering why you consider 40,000 high. I could probably justify monthly payments but never a balloon payment, but then we are all different.

These cars are fantastic quality and capable of huge mileage with no problems, particularly with a stonking V8 motor, but then we all suffer temptation for wheeled vehicles, 2 or 4 in my case.

Good luck with your decision,

Slightly jealous coz I aint got a IS-F Tony

I've thought about doing the same thing in a couple of years time when I get some money from my shares.

Thing is there isn't much you will feel/see to tell you it's any different to your early model.

You could improve the power and handling of your car for less than the cost of buying a newer model.

I'd be inclined to stay away from extra finance etc if it was me, but each to their own chap. ;)

Let us know what you decide either way.

Cheers.

Peter :)

How much are they selling the 2013 one for as I'm considering selling mine?

I'm sure you are not..but what don't you like?
I think it looks wrong mate , the front doesn't match the back if you know what I mean , the isf is proportional , the rcf looks wrong to me .maybe we could start a topic on rcf views .

Four doors would be nice and I know how much of a hassle only having two would be. A friend with two kids has a brand new Merc E class coupe and it's caused no end of problems for them.

I still think the RCF looks amazing though. Especially in that new orange paint job.

..and it has that LFA rising spoiler that I would be dead envious of.

Hi Everyone

I appreciate all the responses. Common sense has prevailed and I've decided to keep my current car for the long-term.

A shiny almost new one is tempting but not on the financial exposure needed.

Cheers
