Hi,

I currently own an IS200 Auto and keep thinking of getting an IS250 every time I see one. I love the look of this car and to me it is better looking than anything else that came out at that time. I was fortunate to have a fully loaded one as a courtesy car when my IS200 went in for a service. I was very tempted not to come back. The only downside for me was fuel consumption and I was comparing this to my BMW 728i, which is very economical on long runs and to be honest more economical than my IS200 round town.

In a nutshell is the economy better than an IS200? I know we do not buy these cars on fuel consumption alone. But to convince the boss (wife) I need to justify my purchase.

If buying one, what should I look out for and what spec should I go for? I won't be going for the diesel or a manual it has to be a petrol and an auto.

Thanks

compared to my previous car, a 2.4 accord, the lexus i got is just as good if not better for economy.

you need the se-l spec, its a really comfortable drive, economy is not a problem to me. They are very reliable cars too.
