Battery Charge Indicator Rx 450H

Hi

The Battery charge indicator icon in my RX 450h never shows fully charged, the top bar always stays black, is this correct?

Yes it is correct, it is very rare that the top bar will come on with any Toyota hybrid as the system won't fully charge the Battery on its own, otherwise you cannot recovery any energy from braking.

A very long descent will do it, maybe an excuse to take a trip to the Alps :)

Hello i have a RX400h not a RX450 but if you're talking about the centre console Battery display then mine when it's almost charged has the blue bars and when its fully charged it shows green. But i don't look at it all that often because it's distracting.

it goes green when either full, or one bar below. Getting that final bar on the display is the tricky bit.
