Lexus Nx Discount

I have placed an order for a NX Premier with Pan roof and style pack. No movement on price. Looked at various car brokers and max discount was around£175. Wasn't worth the extra hassle so placed an order with the main dealer.

Was trawling the interweb today and found this

This just cannot be right! Are they pre-registered cars? Even then that's an insane price.

They cannot be pre-registered, they have every trim and option combo listed. Lexus aren't bringing in certain options into the country unless building to a customer order.

The prices also state 'from'. No doubt if you enquire the price will go up or will suddenly become unavailable.

I think Bodmeister is experiencing the same angst as me: ordering a new car and irritated that you haven't been able to negotiate much of a deal. I have been known to haggle over the cost of a haircut but i couldn't get them to budge on the NX Premier. I got a decent trade in price and a cheap service plan and that was that. It's always the same with a newly released car.

I suspect that Colin is right and if you enquire the car wont actually be available.

If anyone has been able to negotiate a good deal I for one don't want to know

Lexus only has a small number of NXs coming into the country this year, with each dealership getting a very small allocation. Dealers don't need to discount, they would just be given away money, as there are more potential buyers than cars available at this moment in time.

Hence, why I never buy a car in the first year, went slightly wrong with the RX because I got a 10% discount on it in the first month! lol
