If you like the car, I'd go for it !

I bought an identical vehicle, except mine's 17" wheels. Same colour, trim, SE-L, 65k. On a 58 plate, but 2008. After much searching and research, I paid £8,400 for mine in November. Let us know please. Good luck.

I sorted a Lexus extended warranty for mine through my dealer.

Thanks. How much did your warranty cost if u dont mind me asking.

Is there anything i should look out for when viewing?

I have some information already about the calippers needing greasing, apart from that not come across anything else.

Also what sort of MPG could i expect with this. I do 40miles per day and 20 of that is motor way and A roads.

Any ideas?

Two years Lexus warranty was £795.

I'm not sufficiently experienced to guide as what to look for. Yes, I've lubed my calipers !

I do 5 miles to work and back each day with a weekly supermarket trip of 35 miles total, dual carriageway and motorway. During this cold weather I'm averaging 29mpg. When I collected the car from Mansfield, I averaged 38mpg on my return trip, nearly all motorway at 70 to 75 mph.

Hope this helps.

What's going on with the front tow hook area?

Check the area behind the radiator for any pinkish salty looking deposits - water pumps can need replacing, which isn't crazy expensive (~£300).

Check wheels for corrosion, tyres for tread etc. There are plenty of what to look for when buying threads on here which are IS specific. It's good news that the spark plugs have been done at least.

Hi yes i was going to do that but cant seem to reach the owner so been looking for something else. I have someone coming to view my BMW so hoping once its sold i can purchase a lexus. Im looking to spend between 8-9k so for that kind of money what would you guys say i could buy? Im thinking of maybe buying from a lexus dealership but not sure if it is going to be worth paying the extra.

Could you guys give me some advice?

Don't worry about previous owner providing info on servicing for any Lexus you see.....when searching for mine I ended up calling two lexus dealerships.....told them I was considering purchasing 'x' vehicle and gave them the reg and asked them to confirm the service history and stamps that I was presented with by the (non lexus) dealer.

One (Stockport) were also good enough to confirm that all the warranty work had been completed and that the milage matched what I had also during those periods of the cars life. Excellent! & very reassuring that it was a kosher vehicle.
