Never used it, our engines run very clean anyway so I wouldn't think it would make much difference, question is would you get a return on your investment?

I treat mine to some super unleaded once every 4 fills seems to be working.

Iv'e been using super unleaded in mine since I bought it, so is this unnecessary? seeing as how it generally works out to be the same price as diesel which is about 5p per litre dearer than standard unleaded.

I've had mine over 8 years now and as above generally run it on standard unleaded, never given me a problem with knocking/pinking.IIRC these engines were designed to run on normal ULP and are seriously undertuned so never really struggle with fuel grades.

I had it done to my other car, Nissan Stagea, and yes would recommend it. It feels a bit nippier and mpg is up by about 5 mpg. I'm told it reduces emissions also. MOT time will tell me that. Think I will have it done to my LS400. I'll keep the Forum informed on results.

Super unleaded is for use with high performance engines, usually with higher compression ratios. Using it in standard engines makes no difference at all.

Years ago many people would only use 5 star petrol, thinking they were really looking after their cars but in actual fact the extra lead did more harm than good.

Save your money and use the recommended fuel.
