  1. Brian, I'm not so sure - I reckon it's still in the footwell, that pic is of a facelift car. When I was buying mine the owner said he pulled up the carpet in the passenger footwell to take a pic of the Tom's ECU. ← Ok I'll take a look and confirm one way or the other.
  2. Its in the fusebox?? Blimey thats the last place I would have looked lol. Supras is in the passenger footwell, saved me ripping the passenger carpet up cheers fella.
  3. As the topic suggests I would like to know where the engine ecu is so I can identify if its a supra 6 speed one or still the old aristo one that has been bodged. I'm thinking its the aristo one going on the fact that there are a bunch of shorting links wedged badly in the diagnostic port on the engine.
  4. Don't drive anywhere or ever park in a carpark especially supermarket carparks as they have trolleys to ram your car with. I have to admit to only ever parking in the disabled spaces as they are wide enough to allow doors to open without banging on other cars. Not ideal and you get some scowls but I'd rather a few scowls than a few dents.
  5. Sounds like the 112mph restrictor on the J-spec cars. Known thing on supras for the speedo to read 120 at 112mph. Its all but the same ecu so i cant see the setup being much different.
  6. Preferably one that doesn't involve crashing my car fella :( I have an ABS light so I need to rule out the sensors.
  7. Lots on the lex site in yank land.
  8. The TT supe manages speeds in excess of 180. The N/A is good for just under 150 with the 230 BHP GE engine so dependent on power output (I think is somewhere between the 230 of the na and the 320 of the TT) I expect its top end is going to be somewhere between the supes NA and TT's. Mines managed 167 that I saw on my speedo which is calibrated very well using thors magic box and GPS and a confirmed 148 on a speed gun on the same day at an airfield.
  9. How do you check an ABS sensor to see if its working or not?
  10. So how do I go about checking the sensors on the abs system then????
  11. The thor unit gives you instructions on how to sort out the cruise control and other bits and bobs. As the speed signal affects the progressive steering it is quite important.
  12. I loved it there I only left because after 12 years at Odius they wanted to send me to scotland :( There was no way in hell they were sending me there. Afghanistan yeah, Iraq yeah but bloody Scotland not a hope :) I probably know you to look at if you were there in 2002 as I didn't leave till 2003 I was in EFDC, better known as the stroppy b*st*rd down in EFDC :)
  13. Yup I know hence the reason why i said I'm glad I am out of it. Super 7 forgot that they like to call it that lol. Still know a few people over there.
  14. I found flux customer relations a bit pants. Sky insurance who I am now with are the mk4 supra forums insurer of choice and are exceptional if you have a modified car, like for like replacement of modded parts and assured valuations all part of the service. Fantastic customer relations too.
  15. I was there for 12 years 7 shush 18 sqn and then MESF Was back there the other day and I for 1 am soooo glad I left as its gone to rat sh*t there now.
  16. Hey thats what I do over at Boscombe down for qinetiq on the helo fleet. DARA fleetlands just lost the contract for their engine shop at a cost of 500 jobs as well.
  17. I am gonna go with an agreed evaluation like I have on my supra but I need to know what price to pitch to the insurance company before hand. More for in case someone else runs into me and their insurance company try and offer me crap money, if I have agreed valuation from my insurance company they can't argue the case.
  18. OK so £10k? more? less? If I was to go down the replacement lines I'm not sure that even £11k would do the job, the rims alone are ridiculously expensive. The manual conversion would be ludicrous to get done again so what do you guys think? Problem is stockers on this plate fetch £5k now so comparing it is impossible. I have receipts for the car to the tune of £9.5-£10k with all the security and the interior getting fixed and MOT stuff.
  19. I need to place a value upon my aristo 6 speed manual special motor. I need to insure it. Now I know its gonna be worth more than a stock GS 300 and most aristo's but for an assured insurance valuation what should I be putting down?? 60K miles 95 car Nice kit Blitz z1 19" rims Brembo front and back UK spec supra brakes and some performance mods In case you hadn't seen it
  20. Launch control Yeah it has but to be fair its an auto so pointless Theres lots of supes in the uk with RLTC
  21. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/index.php Thats one of them Oilman is on there dunno if he is on any of the others
  22. The rears are a bit more difficult as the handbrake drum jobber is in the centre of the disc holding it on
