  1. I might come along and see if you have a slot available to compare my hub reading from thors with a rolling road reading. Its time for the beast to be introduced to the club, bit like bringing the scrappy little upstart brother along bringing a supra to a lex meet lol.
  2. They sell some kind of insert thing but then you'd have to fashion your own bonnet catch or something along that lines. I'm not put off by spending a couple of quid to get my car right after all this N reg motor of mine has set me back the best part of 10k
  3. Speed well I think I have that covered with a twin turbo plant in the car thats running a bar of boost and will have HKS 264 cams in it as soon as I get my hands on it so as a rough guesstimate will be pushing out at least 400 ponies. OK it won't handle like my lowered eibach/bilstein/trd anti-roll barred supra but I will have a newborn sprog in the back so I'll not be driving like a total headcase for quite a while now. I'm sure however that it being a 6 spd manual will make up for some that loss though lol. Stopping will be handled by putting the UK spec supra brakes I have sitting in my garage waiting to go on :) Its coming on the car. AFAIK its a kazz sports one as are the side skirts. Available in japan and the states.
  4. Whats the answer to his number 4 question? I want to know if that *** awfull toyota silver grill on the front can be easily replaced with a sport version. Also can I change the aristo bit on the boot (the bit with the same detail as the rear lights) for a lexus one that says GS300 on it or just plain get rid of it and smooth it flush.
  5. Juicy he he. Try the modified TT supra I get 18 MPG at best out of it. RX7's return even less - mostly single figure lol. But if you think about it what does a 3 litre BMW 5 series of the same era return?
  6. What you mean like mine is :) Yup thats a getrag 6 speed box in a TT 300 fella
  7. Snap dude. My aerotop supra is making way for an aristo which is technically a 300 just with turbo's lol. I decided I wanted a supra still just dressed in a flash dinner jacket :D
  8. Whats the ride like with 20"s on? My aristo will have 19"s on when it gets here and I am worried about the ride quality.
  9. So I should have waited another few months til i bought another car lol. All I will say is watch the scrappies fill up like its going out of fashion the way its going. Its getting so bad it'll be cheaper to buy a newer car than bother to mot your own when its more than 5 years old
  10. Makes me wonder if its worth my while taking a PX on mine. I'd kind of still do it if the difference in values ie the cash in the deal was enough just to get my cash flow in the right direction.
  11. What do ya wanna know about supras? I currently own one which I am selling but have owned a couple now for nearly 4 years. I previously had a normally aspirated aerotop supra which I put nitrous on before I sold it and purchased a Twin turbo aerotop with the basic power upgrades and a little bit more. Basic power upgrades ie the grands worth will get you approximately 400 bhp ish to get more than that you will need some more supporting modifactions. Its true the ***** is completely falling out of the supra market especially the turbo models with the N/A's often selling for very similar money now. Its not exactly faring well in the skyline world either. A mate recently sold his sparkling R33 GTR with plenty of mods for about £9.5k which is incredible as you cannot even import one for that money. UK models are always reccomended but be aware that low milers are virtually impossible to find and the jap models like mine often have the majority of the UK spec items such as the brakes and aftermarket leather jobs like mine has. Stereo's these days in most cars aren't the factory fit items either. Headlamp washers are an aquired taste and the turbo's on the J-specs longevity is hanging on in there along with UK cars of the same age. Massively modded supra's are also coming in at very low money for what they are. A big single car recently came up for sale for about £20k which when you think has over 600BHP a total down to shell respray full custom leather interior retrim, and total new ice system, and all new suspension so pretty much a new car with kind of power.
  12. Me too I'd like a couple and I can collect as I only live down the road :D
  13. Ask on the mkiv supra forum if you don't get an answer here as the engine is more common there than it is here on the lexus forum. Aristo TT's are a very rare beast indeed.

  15. Do they all have rear shades??
  16. You will not have any probs, because you have a manual and the MKI you can do without issue anyway :) Yep, the Thor unit will work. Give Pete a call... Gaz. ← Ah cool thats only like £70. I asked Jurgen to talk to you about fitting me one when the car comes into you for its MOT. Also I would like the cambelt doing as I have no history of when that was done last.
  17. Rolling road people will be able to tell you what the car is boosting at.
  18. Could try it yourself there are a variety of polishing kits available now. Be warned though its time consuming work for a non-professional.
  19. Was on yesterday much earlier circa 8pm the evo6-evo9 race was good, and the bm M5 against an F1 car was very good.
  20. I'd say the same unless the strut towers get in the way and a different manifold is used??? The turbo's themselves should be the same though.
  21. Did you get a boost gauge sorted?
  22. What about the mk1 aristo gaz? Mine has been converted to manual I don't suppose it would have been de-limited at the same time?. I also take it that its not the same thor delimiter from the supra?
  23. Woah there tiger less of the "only" in an auto. :) Its a well known fact that the fastest drag supra's are all auto's (OK they have hi-stall converters in them). I have outdragged a manual evo 7 fq300 tuned to 350 off the line in my auto without a hi-stall. Decat and boost controller and the J-spec turbo's really don't suffer from lag much.
  24. Its not that expensive a job if you do the work yourself. Pick up an aristo or supra turbo engine (they are both 2JZ-GTE engines) with turbos, downpipes and all ancilliaries for in the region of £1500 (get them in a crate from Japan for about £900 if you can be bothered with the hassle), a 2JZ-GTE engine management ecu, the loom to go in between and you are away. It will plonk straight in as the 2JZ-GE lumps bottom end and mounts are identical. Thing is I'd look at changing the transmission as well and upgrading to the better TT's box (about £500) drive train including the LSD (trust me you'll need an LSD with that power). You'll also need an intercooler and pipework not sure of the availability or configuration of aristo intercoolers but the one on the supra is a side mount. Or as the guys say sell the 300 and buy an aristo. Unlike supes there seems to be a lot of aristo's left in Japan still.
