  2. My sodding rat won't touch chocolate, or grain bars, or cheese, or meat, or anything else you put in a trap. It also avoids the sodding poison like the plague as well. Its not been back for a whiles since I had a hetty fit and sprayed 3 full cans of Raid fly spray into the flat roof section of the attic where the git was hiding :)
  3. Ah this is a question I'd like answering as I have one of the little gits rummaging around in my attic on occasions at 5am. I've tried traps both inside and out to no avail. I've put down poison everywhere (in the box things so no cats or dogs get it) I'm worried that I'll end up with the blighter cacking it in the flat roof section of my attic which would put me in the same predicament as you.
  4. As the topic says how do I go about changing the speedo readout for miles per hour instead of kilometers per hour and how do you go about taking out the 112mph speed limiter?
  5. My car 103k on the clock and has a full Lexus service history up to now, so I would of thought it has had the tranny fluid changed at least twice. Maybe my mechanic is being over cautious? ← It's not really a filter, just a mesh screen. I would say it's worth doing a drain and again at the next service as a drain only changes about 1/3 of the total fluid in the transmission. Also worth dropping the pan and cleaning/changing the filter as the vehicle has done 100k. ← Yeah that is what I meant. Its not a job for someone without a bit of confidence and a decent tool kit and some facilities. AFAIK you are meant to run the car with the pan off to get all the oil out of the converter. Draining the oil and then doing it again at the next service will help the average car no ends though.

  7. Stock on a j-spec 2JZ-GTE lump is supposed to be 280bhp at the fly. In reality most produce in the region of 320bhp. A mate of mine had similar power to yours and it turned out to be dodgy baffling in the exhaust come loose and restricting the exhaust airflow hence restricting your boost. You want some more oomph all you need is a decat pipe and a bit of a tasty exhaust.

  10. My car that has just arrived in th uk has a trac light and abs light on as well. Wonder if putting it on the boat or having no battery on it for so long has caused a problem.
  11. If you are worried its making too much noise fit a couple of turbo's :D That'll take the noise out lol.
  12. i would reccomend having it changed properly. On cars that are a bit old you will be surprised at the new lease of life it gives it. If they fear the filter getting clogged then get them to change it. To fully change the fluid out though is a massive job not just empty it and fill it gain as the torque converter stays full and only about a 1/3 of the fluid will come out.
  13. Well my 6 speed converted aristo is now in the country in geordie land and will soon be transported to my good self. There are a couple of the supra lads did the conversion so there is some expertise there. As far as I know nemesis did one and the issues they had with the ecu was with the park function from the auto box shutting the engine down or something like that but don't quote me. The other manual that I know of was last in the possesion of a firm called djcraig and that had about 850bhp dunno if they still have it. I'm guessing you are the chap that asked me about this car over on the supra forum? As for getting a box scour the for sale ads on the supra forums both .uk and .net they do come up. Also try a wanted ad on them. They come up on ebay occasionally as well. 247spares might be able to help you.
  14. I got sent a video file of an aristo with a zorst exhaust fitted and weirdly it sounds exactly like my zorst equipped supra. Hope my aristo with big assed exhaust with one cat out will sound as good. And yup it is good to see the GS's getting looked at for modification now. Mine will feature in a magazine as soon as I get it sorted out.
  15. And I won't have any issues with the bonnet release? Its just I was under the impression the bonnet release was involved in the grill part or am I wrong about that? I'm asking so many questions as I can't go and just look at the car as it only came off the boat today.

  17. So for an eejit like me what is the price of a GS sport grille in this country as that silver monstrosity on the front of my car spoils an otherwise very good looking car. I'm also quite liking the eyebrow things on the lights which I usually positively detest.

No No what I meant was you only need to get an SAFC2 or a greddy emanage or any of those jobbers when you get bigger injectors. 440cc injectors are fine for my car with approx 450-460 bhp out of my twin turbo machine which is what your engine will have in it. I'd look more towards spending my money on a decat and sports exhaust you'll actually get something back from that.
  20. I've got 1 in my TT supe and it does precisely squat all. Unless you get bigger injectors I don't see the point of it at all. The 2jz's ecu is a very clever piece of kit and as such you won't see many gains by just putting on an SAFC2. Better pump and fuel regulator will give you about the same gains I would have thought.
