  1. The price I got from Lexus Chester was £700, this included all fluids changed, filters & plugs. Apparently the radiator is removed for the cam belt change, two hours for that and another hour for the plugs. The information is available in the Autodata technical handbook covering IS200- LS400, may cost about £200 for the book, but you can amaze your mates with facts and figures on any motor.
  2. Sure it gets harder. If you've been off the scene for a while it takes a little time and effort to get into talking with strangers, finding out what makes women tick these days. Best advice, buy a Springer Spaniel dog if you live near the country, or a Golden Labrador in town, leave the women alone . Well try anyway.
  3. O.K. lets get in on the act, if the term tailgating means making some air head aware of your presence near their little world, without all the light flashing and fist waving, then put me in that category, I have been driving long enough not to be dictated to or held up by some pontificating moron who thinks he is a better driver and wants everyone who is stuck behind him (yes, 99% of them are MEN) to be taught his bad habits. A GOOD DRIVER will realise that the car behind is there because, (A) it was probably travelling faster than him (B) would like to continue at the same rate, and would therefore pull over and allow traffic to flow smoothly. Shall I start on the bottom burpers who decide to brake for no reason because some one is "leaning on his fence"
  4. The diesel fitted in the Land Cruiser is an amazing engine, very quiet, powerful but not really economical, that could have been down to the gearing on the Colorado.
  5. GPS system fine on fixed cameras and induction loop triggered cameras, but none of them any good on SPEC or video cams, use a bit of common sense and keep your EYES open, I think they are getting trained by the SAS now,Look out for them scoping you from beneath that slugs belley. :o That must be No.100 at long last
  6. Claire, glad your hubby did'nt fall into the Land Cruiser trap, great motor with loads of presence, but what about the running costs, book me in with the loan arranger !!! At least the Honda is a more managable second car, what else is he getting for Christmas ??? :hohoho:
  7. Great card, nice move that man. Certainly the BEST club site to be involved with. Always an answer, opinion & advice. :hohoho:
  8. The country is fine ,it's the people that are in it that a'int. Any who, turkey and grease, def.oven related.
  9. What happened to the guy with the white Alteza, he is from Telford, not sure where though. He came on the run to Blackpool in August. Not really on your own Wallace, just the wrong side of town, perhaps.
  10. MERRY CHRISTMAS ONE AND ALL AND A PROSPEROUS/PREPOSPEROUS NEW YEAR
  11. Steve, give Julie a ring at Import Solutions on 019340417222. They do a lot with Japanese imports.
  12. 22 seconds hey you basa, doesn`t the sky look close at 130, very mooooving.
  13. could be one of two things. Easiest/ cheapest first, check the air filter & intake, there has been a lot of leaves around lately. Second and a bit dearer to replace could be the airflow meter, fitted in the induction pipe tends to get oil contamination, can be removed and cleaned with a degreaser/brake cleaner solvent. Good hunting.
  14. Indian arrows. Potential lethal weapon. Knock `n run. Pensioner harrassment. Bird nesting. Banned. Getting up early to collect mushrooms....... shortage of paper-delivery persons because the little swines won`t get out of bed. Playing marbles. No clear spaces to play, too many cars. Hide and seek. Potential for child abduction. I think we older ones had the better times for growing up.
  15. Thanks for that, I`m still a G.M. and I`ll still keep in touch
  16. As you can see GANGSTA II has departed. I`ve gone back to my old favorite. The Mk1 GS 300 was a very comfortable car but a little bit big and heavy for my driving style. Honestly, it has nothing to do with A.P, just been contemplating the change for a while. You could always start a "Lunatic fringe" just for me. Or is it a case of "I`ll get me coat"
  17. Fine grade wire wool used to bring mine up a treat.
  18. Welcome MrSypher, I always thought boats were a bottomless pit, keep spending,it`s good for the economy
  19. Check in the wells ,either side of the boot/trunk to see if any water has collected there, when the car warms up it tends to evaporate from there and condenses on the rear window.
  20. All the best Matty, don't get too :duh: before
  21. Keep getting older like this and we will need a SILVER members group, think I should be in there anyway. Congrats for the big day, you boys have done a GREAT job.
  22. Thank *** I don't use Lynx deodorant, otherwise it would have been a full-house. It goes to show, when you've got something right, they take a pop at you !!! :P
  23. It's nice when they use the blue lights, a lot better then the sneeky gets with the unmarked Transits that sit on the roadside at busy junctions. Roll on Christmas, asked Santa for rocket launcher to fit behind the Gold L
  24. Sod that ,I'll have an extra hour in the pub ;)
