  1. Is the £16.99 P&P on top of each purchase Matt? Maybe members who are quite close by to one another could come up with an arrangement to get the stuff shipped to one address to minimise cost?
  2. From Santa Pod: THE JAPANESE PERFORMANCE SHOW (Sun 10th Oct) A massive celebration of Japanese Performance motoring, including Run What Ya Brung track action for all Japanese Cars, with prizes for the fastest in various manufacturer categories. Also on track is an amazing Pro-Shootout “Import drags” demonstration with EIGHTEEN 9 and 10-scond streetcars entered for a thrilling eliminations-style shootout. We are sure you will be impressed by this demonstration of the might of Japanese cars, and with 18 cars entered, qualification will leave some guys swallowing their pride! There isn’t much that makes 9-second Skylines look slow, but as well as the RWYB and Pro-Shootout, FIA Top Methanol champion Dave Wilson will be taking to the wheel of a Top Fuel Dragster for the first time to complete testing and licensing passes for what may be a 2005 championship in Top Fuel. Martin Hill will also be keeping things super-fast in the Fireforce 2 Jet Car. Off track there will be loads of traders and club displays, and if you manage to get ‘round all that lot in one day, we’ll be very surprised. Tickets start from just £9 in advance, and tomorrow (Tues 5th Oct) is your last day to take advantage of the discount. See www.japshow.com for loads more info.
  3. Fargo, just dropped you a line back - can your SAE in the post today? Today's the last day folks to get your SAEs out for the passes to realistically be with you for the weekend. Thanks, Claire
  4. Still 18 passes left. Some of you who have expressed an interest in this thread, I have sent PMs to have not had any response. Do I take it you don't want to join the Club stand? TheDon, thanks for your offer - had sent your pass before I read your reply, but I may yet do that. Thanks.
  5. Wise choice to go Gold - you won't regret it! Congrats on the car, they're lovely and it's nice to see another GS here!
  6. It's a really beauty Matt - very, very nice car. Well done and congatulations!
  7. Glad it went well for you all! Here's hoping to get an even stronger contingency up and running next year!
  8. It's always a balancing act, but I think everyone appreciates that no one will be able to attend all meets. It's just nice when people make the effort now and again. I think the apathy comes in when people start moaning the Club should be organising things, express an interest and then go quiet or drop out when a bit of commitment's needed! Ash, with a newborn it's difficult sometimes to find the time to get out to the local shops, let alone a meet - but it's worth it when you are able to come along!
  9. Think I've PM'd everyone here who has expressed an interest but not yet got in touch. Please note, that without a valid pass, you will not be able to park with the Club. Only a week away now peeps, so please note that it'll take a couple of days for me to get your SAEs and then a few more for you to get the passes. I know I'm nagging, but just worried there will be people planning to go but not being able to park on the Club stand!
  10. I have 22 passes left for this event - please send me your SAEs urgently if you want to come along (PM me for my address). I am out of the country Weds and Fri next week, so I need to get the remainder of the passes out to interested parties by Mon/Tues at the very latest. So please don't leave this to the last minute as I won't be able to get them out in time if you do. Thanks peeps. Have fun without me - I'll be travelling for work on that Sunday
  11. No excuse to retaliate like that though - if I did that every time a car driver cut me up (accidentally or otherwise), it wouldn't be seen as acceptable.
  12. Thats a shame Claire, if you do manage to summon up the energy I'm happy to help amuse Keiron for the day :) That's dangerous to put that in writing, I might take you up on that! Si's working but I'm going to see how I feel on the day, and if I'm feeling human will definitely come along!
  13. Used to organise them - meets at stately homes, car museums etc. Interest dwindled, one Southern meet attracted 3 members and I decided just to concentrate on the bigger meets.
  14. You don't need passes for outside, but you will need to sort out your pitch to park together. John, I've replied to your PM and if you let me have your address, will get the pass out to you recorded delivery tomorrow!
  15. Sorry, didn't take a brain surgeon to work that one out did it?!
  16. Bit concerned as I've only had 3 or 4 actual PMs asking me for the address to send the SAE to get the passes. If you want to come, please contact me asap as snail mail is a nightmare. I haven't minded paying postage myself for Motorshow NW or JAPS, but don't fancy shelling out to get 30 passes out recorded delivery if peeps leave it too late! Thanks, Claire
  17. What's GUNK? Is that a trade name or do you go into Halfords and ask for gunk?!
  18. On my markII I was advised to check the cam belt had been done, the ball joints were ok etc. They were all perfect then the wheel bearing went!
  19. I'm afraid I can't make it either unfortunately, due to personal circumstances then
  20. Just checking what Mr Grove is working as I'd like to come along to this. Will have just got back from the US (work), so likely to be jet-lagged and not fancy coping with an active 2 year old by myself!
  21. June 2004?!?!? Not sure when the meet is (possibly missed something here?).
  22. It can be frustrating organising meets to little or no visible interest - hence why the monthly/bi-monthly meets stopped. We were organising visits to places like Beaulieu <sic> with no one ever being that interested. Meets were then just kept to car themes like JAPS and to a lesser extent (every few months). Guess the thing is for you to all actively feedback on what you want from meets, and if what's currently on offer is the type of meet you'd like to attend. As the Club changes, we need to make sure the meets do too to some extent. Personally, I'd like to thank the 'hard-core' who attend meet after meet, the ones that do make efforts despite other commitments, and those brave enough to attend as newbies (as I did when I first joined, petrified no one would want to talk to me as I had a standard car and came with baby in tow!).
