I know a while ago someone posted what's done on the services. I'm trying to find this post as my GS has done nearly 70k miles and will be due a service soon - can anyone point me in the right direction? Also, I think there was a post recommending the best oil to use.... Thanks for your help.

When you get your insurance forms in, make sure you add to what they've already written (if they fill it in for you over the phone). Also try and get pictures of the crossroads and illustrate where yours and hers cars were. Include these and pictures of the damage of your car to help your claim. I did this on the advice of my brother who was in insurance at the time, and it helped settle a claim in my favour when a lorry hit me. There were no independant witnesses and my insurer told me there was a good chance of the case being settles 50/50. Yours seems a bit more clear-cut in your favour though...!

Motor Show Northwest 2005 - 20th -21st August 2005 Haydock Park Racecourse Newton Le Willows WA12 0HQ I've been asked to see if we want to book space for next years' Motor Show Northwest. If you think it's worthwhile, I'll book us a Club spot. Please note there's a minimum requirement of 10 cars. The maximum is 20 cars although with prior arrangement this can be extended. Whaddya' reckon - are you guys up for it?

I was at the BaaBaas game too! We just followed the signs for parking and ended up paying to park about 10 min walk from the grounds. Train's usually easier though...

Gaydon want to charge £500 per car park we use!!! Not confident that we'll get enough members wanting to join in and pay up to make this worth the Clubs' while, so am looking at other venues.

I've just started getting wheel shudder (felt through the steering wheel) when I brake from 60 mph+ - don't get it at lower speeds- is this likely to be the brakes needing changing? They're not screeching at all, but this is the only thing I can think of. Just wanted opinions/advice before I have to take it to the garage. Thanks

One of my ex-boyfriends would never, ever wear a belt and was involved in a low-speed accident and hit the windscreen. Luckily he wasn't seriously hurt (left with a nasty scar though), but he hasn't learnt his lesson and still, as far as I know, won't wear a belt. . . . Fool! -

I'd like a GS430! I'm hanging on to my motor for a few years and my hubby's Aerodeck will be likely to go first - he'd like a Toyota Landcruiser, or GS amongst others -
My friend's just been there and loved it. Lots of excursions, the best being a helicopter ride apparently.

Sounds as though they're just trying it on. If a debt has been passed to a collection agency, they will at least have info on why you owe it. You should also be able to check with the original store for confirmation they have 'sold' the debt on. I don't know how long they can keep chasing for money owed, but figured there wouldn't be a date on it? If it's not on your Experian or Equifax file, I wouldn't worry about it too much - tell them to supply you proof you owe the money or bugger off!

Can't comment on the MkI as I've never owned one, but do love my MkII sports to bits. I prefer the exterior styling to the MkI and the interior has a very luxurious feel. I agree with Gerry in that I don't find the sports suspension difficult or hard at all.

I don't think the Rover performance wise is much cop but the Cupra could have wiped the floor with you! I took one for a test drive before looking at my first Lex and performance wise it put a smile on my face (shame the rest wasn't up to much!). The £4k insurance quote put me off, then I discovered Lexus!!! Perhaps the guy realised he was driving too aggressively and backed off? Always hope there are some sensible drivers out there!!

You may be ok - were there any speed camera signs? If not, it may be a camera van checking tax discs etc. - they have these a lot around my area

My husband has been left 'emotionally scarred' (his words, not mine) after seeing a recent photo of Daisy Duke. Says his childhood dreams will never be the same again....don't think she's aged particularly well !
