  1. Try tackling the M4 between Slough and Maidenhead on a regular basis then. I'm always careful with lorries etc, always flash them out and back in as I know visibility can be bad, but rarely am I afforded the same courtesy back.
  2. Bugger - have other plans for Wednesday but would have loved to have come along. Not far for me!
  3. I'm with FMRL on this one - the amount of times a lorry has been able to let me out (c'mon, where's the common courtesy here?!?) but has decided to be an obstinate *******, is unbelievable. Limited to 56mph, yes, but since when has speed necessarily had any link to your ability as a driver or your character? The lines on the end of a slip way may mean give way, but it'd be stupidly dangerous to stop on the line! Not wishing to tar all lorry drivers with the same brush, but some of them are just ****s. You can't tell me that they don't let you out, don't speed up to prevent you from getting out etc because their lorries are limited.
  4. I've passed on our thanks to the organisers. If it's a good show, we should definitely try and get more people roped in for next year! Glad it all went well and that you enjoyed it - thanks for going and representing us!
  5. I know it's not always convenient, but how about getting a car cover too - just another thing for the scrotes to get round - they make a lot of noise taking them off and delay any theiving a little longer.
  6. I thought I'd really offended you then Raz . . . . . I'm not that old myself y'know (despite the bags under my eyes, the grey hairs and the 'obviously' mature attitude) :shutit:
  7. Hope the weekend goes well for you all!
  8. The best of luck in your new venture - hope it takes off for you!
  9. Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming WOO HOO - What a ride! :D
  10. I'm interested in the Klasse cleaning stuff too...
  11. Yep, keep an eye out - now Motorshow Northwest is sorted, passes for Autumn JAPS on the 3rd Oct will be going out soon and I'll post all the details for the JAPS at Santa Pod.
  12. Yep, keep an eye out - now Motorshow Northwest is sorted, passes for Autumn JAPS on the 3rd Oct will be going out soon and I'll post all the details for this on the 10th.
  13. It's part of LOC's community spirit - keeping dodgy 'yoofs' off the streets :P
  14. Phew! Please remember you have to be set up by 8.30am though - hope it gives you enough time to get there. If it's going to be tight, give Daniel a call (PM'd you his number) and explain what's happened and hopefully he can sort you out.
  15. Also, got an answer back re: passengers - yes they do have to pay, believe it's £7 entry for adults.
  16. Gordon, did you leave before the post this morning? If so, check with the post office - needs a signature on delivery. Absolutely, categorically sent it guaranteed to arrive by today - bloomin' well hope it's there waiting for you!
  17. As long as you have your passes on you, you'll be able to get about ok. I'm waiting for confirmation on if passengers have to pay and hope to have an answer soon. Thanks, Claire
  18. Last I heard they were waiting for the results of a blood specimen taken to check out if he'd been drinking.
  19. I've got the template but for some reason it's not allowing me to upload it - says I'm not allowed to upload this type of doc (only a Word doc though) ?!?!?!?
  20. Sorry chaps, I was out of the office yesterday so apologies for not responding before today. You should have all received your passes by today as I sent them guaranteed delivery. Some details for you: All stands must be static (i.e. no driving off once the show opens) and you must be there and set up by 8.30am. You won't be allowed entry after this time. You are fine to leave at the end of the day once the public has cleared and the event director's given you the nod - by 6pm approx. When you get to Aintree, you need to head to the Grand National Avenue entrance where you'll get further directions from the Oasis Marketing Staff. Contact people on the day are: Daniel Bradstreet Waldron, Project Manager Terry Donnelly, Event Manager I'll PM you their contact numbers. Other notes: -- There is a 5mph speed limit on site -- Do NOT leave valuables in your call if you plan to leave them unattended at any time -- If you are playing any music etc, make sure the volume is kept at a sensible level and doesn't annoy other exhibitors etc If you can, use the Word doc template we had for JAE and put your car details on there (even if standard). The templates have LOC splashed on them so it's good publicity! Hope the weather is kind to you tomorrow!
