  1. The Monster is dormant at the moment because we drowning in other work. We are scheduled to begin again in a coupla weeks. All being well it should be finished before JAE - fingers crossed. Mark :)

It does not matter what ecu you have , piggy back or stand alone, you will not get any more than what we quote on our web site, unless you are using higher than 98 octane fuel and can use more ignition advance. For the compressor models, the MOTEC, Gems, FCON or similar will work better than E-manage or Unichip because the latter can only work within the car's standard sensor range. Having said that the latter is just about able to cope at the stage 1 level. Hope this helps Mark :)

Si Personally I would say that the HKS has better manufacturing quality, but the Motec has more features (which you probably won't use) and is easier for you to self tune because I think you get the software with it. The HKS software is licenced to us so you cannot play with it yourself. If it were my decision I would look at the price, see if any of the extra features are of any use to me, decide if I want to tune the engine myself, then spend my money. Decisions decisions, either way I don't think you can go wrong. Hope this helps Mark :)
  5. The M800 is a nice piece of kit and should work OK. I would not use it as a stand alone system because you would lose some of the nice features of the standard ecu, but used as a piggyback it will be somewhere between Unichip and HKS FCON. I am not sure what the price of the M800 is but I think it is more expensive than the FCON, so I kow what I would buy ;) Mark :)
  6. Hi dboey No one has asked us to do a stage 2 upgrade yet. HKS have said that they will make some manifolds if we order at least 50. I am waiting from some prices. Mark :)

  8. Hi Funder Most of the compreesor kits that we have done use the standard clutch without any problems. If you are hard on clutches or it is quite high mileage, it may be worth considering an uprade. Hope this helps Mark :)

  11. Come on Chums, we've had worse than this. The Germans or the IRA couldn't get us down, lets get on with doing what we do. Stiff upper lip and all that, because things will get a lot worse before (if) they get better.
  12. At the moment I can't think of any war that has actually been useful in the long run. Peace is only ever found by negotiation. If we go to war with Iraq, London will be on the same status at Isreal as far as the Loonies are concerned. We will have suicide bombers and all the rest of it. We will have swarms of invisible enemies tht we will not be able to combat effectively. We will be swamped by even more deposed Iraqi refugees that will cost us even more money. The trouble is that Soddom Hussein is a dangerous nutter and should be stopped. I think the best solution is take him out personally, and leave the rest of the innocent Iraquis to live their lives with a new leader. My kids are already terrified by all this. I don't want them to grow like that.
  13. Heard Red Ken on the radio this morning trying to justify it all. He said that if this scheme does not work (ie reduce traffic) he will increase the charges until it does work. He says that it is not a stealth tax, as there are easier ways to raise money, but an attempt to reduce the traffic in London. Personally I think that there is far too much traffic in London. A lot of it is caused by bad public works management, poor driving standards and ineffective public transport. He is slimy g*t, but he does have a tough job here - damned he if does, damned if he doesn't. When I am Prime Minister, I will get rid of Red Ken and only allow Lexus owners to drive in London Mark :)
  14. Hmmmmmmmmmm....I doubt if it is the lsd becuase that would not get worse by lowering the car. I would like to hear it to be sure. Maybe worn bushes or damaged tyres? Try changing the tyres front to rear. Mark :)

  16. I think he didn't do himself any favours by denying the plastic surgery. If he had fessed up to it due to his abused childhood he would have had some sympathy. As it is now, he has come across as a liar.
  17. Hi Guys I said from the start that we were going to make the systems without compromise, which is what we did. I know that these are not everyones cup of tea. Spyshot - maybe try knocking some up in your shed then. See how long it takes you, how nice it looks, how much heat soak you get, then test to see how well it works ;) Anyone out there really want cheap parts on their car? Quality costs unfortunately - sorry!!! :( The other alternative is to wait to see if anyone else brings out a cheaper product that is worth having. I know JTT tried something that that did not work out to well. All the best :)

  19. Bloofire - sadly I am not aware of any replacement filter elements for the standard air box. Anyway I thought you had a budget of £15k, so you should be able to run to a decent induction system ;)
  20. Hello The induction system is designed to derestrict the intake system. We have made the cross over air feed pipe in heat insulated carbon fibre to reduce the heat soak problem that the metal pipes suffer from. After some hard runs on the dyno on Zee's car, the intake pipe was still cool to the touch, whereas a metal pipe would have given me blisters on my fingers! The air scoop is designed to direct cold from the front of the car to the air filter. Hope this helps :)

Anthing is possible, but you have to realistic about your budget, and that ain't gonna happen for £15k To get a genuine 450hp 4G63 in and working in an is200 is going to cost around £30k because of the technical implications. If you want a four cylinder I, would recommend that you start with an Altezza, have it stroked to 2.2 litres then add the turbo kit and any of the other upgrades until your money runs out. Uprating the 6 cylinder internally, and installing the supercharger can cost around £15 depending on which options you have. Mail me off list if you are serious please. Mark :)
  23. I would say that the easiest engine change would be the 2JZGTE Supra engine. This engine is one of the toughest out of the box that lives and breathes. The Nissan engines have inherant weaknesses that are relatively expensive to deal with. If it were my car and I had £15k to spend on it, I would strengthen the standard engine and have an uprated compressor kit on it. Another consideration is the resale value of the car. You may find that your is200 with a Nissan engine will be as popular as rattle snake in a lucky dip, when you try and sell it. That's my 2p. Hope it's helpful.
  24. The only thing I had to worry about when I was a Nipper (no not getting eaten by a Dinosoar), was whether my bike tyres were pumped up enough. No front doors were ever closed in our street and everyone knew each other. There is too much pressure on kids today - if there isn't some rodent pushing drugs on them, they are bombarded with messages about s*x, death and destruction. Someone tell me the answer please.
