  1. yes - that would be an imported Aristo (jap name for GS). they are twin turbo'd. or - its an idiot which it badged wrongly ;)
  2. all the best mate. I'll get you a new steak tenderiser - just for the honeymoon :D :D
  3. I am sure with the number of people with a s/c there - it would be possible to fit itin a day. How much do you need to get under the car though? No way would I be getting under a car that was being propped up on grass
  4. please do not use our forums to discuss downloading illegal copies of copyrighted software ;)
  5. hehehehe - £15k for the car is probably cheap in comparison to the cost to insure it. New Owner (NO) : Hello, I just got a new car, and I'd like you to quote me happy. Insurance Company (IC) : OK, I'll just need some details. What type of car is it? NO : Its a Lexus GS300? IC: OK NO : About 800bhp? IC: Okkkkk........ NO : Yeah - was heavily modified in Japan for illegal street racing? IC : Okkkkkkk....... NO : Big turbo, manual conversion - all done in japan before it was imported to the UK. IC : You may want to sit down........
  6. ah - that is a factor. dont know what Lexus claim for the GS430 - but I know I would kill for 24mpg - I am getting around 18mpg at the moment.
  7. Tron, I had Pirelli Pzero Assymetricos on my GS, and changed them rapidly - I did not like them at all - too much wheelspin for my liking. I got Goodyear Eagles F1 to replace them - and have been much happier with them. If you were gold - you would have access to the discount section, and you would be able to see the place I paid £130 for the F1s - thats saving £105 on two tyres ;) AND you are supporting the club :D
  8. holy ***** guys - learn how to use the quote properly! :)
  9. I had a 530d for a while, and the only thing it had going for it was that it very smooth and quite quick - especially for a diesel. I was remarkably unimpressed and preferred my IS200 to it The GS (both 300 and 430) are nicer to drive and own. Just my experience though mate - you test drive one and make your own mind up. According to Parkers, £25k will get you the "fully loaded" GS430 Sport with nav, and you'd still have change - if you look at my avatar you'll be able to see what I reckon ;)
  10. For an 2003/03 Parkers says Franchised Dealer £ 21480 Independent Dealer £ 20585 Private Good £ 18795 Private Poor £ 16470 Part Exchange £ 17365 for the standard GS430, no nav Up to Franchised Dealer £ 23400 Independent Dealer £ 22425 Private Good £ 20475 Private Poor £ 17940 Part Exchange £ 18915 for the GS430 Sport with nav They are really good cars - very happy with mine. Wont handle anything like the 350z - but test drive one, see if you like it ;) But - gotta say - sorry to see you are thinking of changing cars already mate - you only got the 350Z 6 months ago didnt you? Read your post about the problems a while back - sounds like you have not had anything resolved. Of course it would be great to have you back in the club - but would be a lot nicer if it was under better circumstances :(
  11. Which Lexus models in the UK have CD text on the stereo? How about MD Text?
  12. The appropriate section The fact that Du Pont themselves said it was no good in engines, and refused to sell its products to manufacturers is not a good sign
  13. have a read of this Pay particular attention to the bits about treatments containing PTFE ;)
  14. not used them mate - so cant comment from my own experience. but - the autopia site says So I would say to NOT use these instead of Klasse, as these are restorative products. If you have rough paintwork, badly swirled etc - then these products sound like they would do a good job to restore it. But - I would only use them the once to carry out this restoration. I dont get the impression your paintwork is in that condition Mike. I would say use the least agressive product to get the results you want - which would be your Klasse stuff. Describe your paintwork bud - does that quote apply to your car?

  16. Scott from ASP does altezza badges here You can get a proper RS200 from there :winky: maybe one for the grill - although I personally prefer the Altezza badge for the front grille. Good look finding ANYTHING for your mate - googling altezza always seems to lead to places selling "altezza / lexus lights"
  17. nope! not at all mate. badging it RS200 is OK by me - either by getting an "R" or finding RS badges. I just dont think you should make it a Lexus RS200 - there is no such thing. I would lose the Lexus and (L) and just have the Altezza. Or maybe the RS200 badge in the place of Lexus? so its RS200 ....... Altezza I just like honest badging I'm afraid
  18. hmmmm. you need an RX owner who has changed his badges, and can donate the RX bit ← set of RX badges on ebay for $19.95 here
  19. hmmmm. you need an RX owner who has changed his badges, and can donate the RX bit
  20. very nice Neil :D need to sort your badging out though - car is having something of an identity crisis
  21. Click it. Read it. Inwardly digest it. Print it out and take it with you to when you look at the car Colin's excellent guide to buying a MKI GS. Good luck btw - hope to welcome you to the OWNERS club soon ;)
  22. Call Of Duty was an excellent FPS on the PS2
