My bosses old ls430 did the same rear ns years ago, his car at time was only 4yrs old and Lexus replaced it free of charge years later happened again n out of warranty so just put up with it .....LS430,460 n 600 are all double glazed windows -
Yes Steve mine parks itself.... Well it would if I let it lol ...scares the life out of me so just take over and do it myself... Ps turning circle of the 600 is (I know the word I want to use but can't lol) hence to say it's not good Just as well I'm a artic lorry driver and know how much room I need to manoeuvre around tight corners comes in handy in the 600 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Yes my previous car prior to buying my LS600hl was a GS450h... I've always been a LS fan and had two 400s and was looking at upgrading to A LS460, But at the last moment I saw a minted 08 GS and decided I'd go for that so put deposit down booked a flight from aberdeen to Southampton and picked it up couple of days later, intially I was over the moon with it, but soon regretted not sticking to the LS's, I found that the comfort was no where near the LS and on long journeys got numb bum syndrome and had to keep moving around in seat to get comfy lol, kept car for 2yrs tho then upgrade to a very low mileage 1 owner minted 600 so again put a deposit down with lexus sheffield and drove down in GS (455mls) got a excellent trade in price on GS and a few extras off dealer and left in the 600 drove all the way home and when I arrived home felt as relaxed as the minute I got into car 8hrs earlier Yes got the buttons mixed up on box as instructions are rubbish lol hence the phone call to states I've ran wires from back of Emv stereo thru and under gear console and just took out my iPod connector which is in centre arm rest and feed wires thru there , connected the box up and like you had said I put in a false bottom so box is not noticeable Ps if you test drive a LS guareenteed you'll be wanting one

The LS600hl is longer than usual car parking bays so be aware of where you park as you don't want someone clipping it... Do not go thru Fast food drive thru's ... I did the day I bought the car and curbed alloy multi storey car parks can be a bit hair raising and certain ones up my way I won't even attempt I get about 3mls on EV and yes 20mph It does have a iPod connection in the arm rest compartment but you still need to manually select songs thru iphone/ipod, I purchased a vais tech gadget which allows me to play all my iPhone music albums and get album art and library on Emv display and allows you to use steering wheel controls to nav thru music menu from iPod/iPhone plus other features like Google maps weather and all my iPhone telephone contacts, the is a menu for dab radio but never used it via the vais tech app Unsure about nav updates as DONT generally use it, The comfort in the LS600hl is second to none..... The only thing I'm not likening in the 600 is the drop down telly, when it's down it blocks your vision thru rear view mirror, everything else is perfect, Just remember it is a extra long car Saying that I wouldn't swap it for anything... Well maybe a newer 600 lol, mines a 09 with a little over 27k Hope this helps a bit Graham

Carl.., you do realise you'll have to dig the system out when thes a update to do on the unit 😃 I was going to do the same in my LS600 es putting unit behind stereo but was advised not to.. Due to needing access to it for updates .,,, saying that ive not had to update it yet,,, mines in my armrest compartment and freely accessible..... I also had a few probs setting it up and ended up phoning the company in the states (Mrs wasn't happy lol)

Chris I normally only do about 3-4k miles per year in the lexus and its a very happy 3-4ks lol, would like to do more but with my health condition at moment be lucky if the car does a 100mls a month.... I'm still not letting the Mrs drive it (snigger) apart from that she's too scared to as I'd hunt her down if she scratched it lol

Price for wing mirror cover is around £90 or was 2yrs ago The cover comes in 2 parts ie the main body then the trim bit surrounding the mirror edge.... I broke my BLACK drivers side one but only the mirror surround part and had to buy whole plastic unit (as not sold separately) ive still got the new main body part in black and drivers side if any use to you pm me... my GS 450 was a 08 so will fit and match a 09 with indicators in mirror I don't need it any more as I've upgraded to a LS600

I got one for my LS600hl a few months back... Had a few teething problems with hdmi not reading correctly but all up n working now... Great that you can use steering wheel controls for music off iPhone plus getting all my the album art on emv screen... Was a bit daunting taking dash apart to fit it but just take your time and it's a easy job

mr2lad replied to Redsteve's topic in LS 400 / Lexus LS 430 / Lexus LS 460 / Lexus 600h / Lexus 500h Club
YES.... but I can't advertise anything as I'm not a GOLD member anymore.( I got a telling off lol a month ago)... Re abs sensors a local lad came round and asked if I was breaking my 400 as he needed a abs sensor, he didn't know which one lol so said he could get all 4 for £100 but payment up front and he takes them off due to me knowing how breakable these are coming off car....well it took 2 days to free them off with no damage and he went away happy and popped in by a couple of days later to say all fitted and working and his 400 now passed mot ps his was a mk111, sensors are the same -
I got one of these for A 08 gs450h black off aclex a good while ago.... Including postage etc I was around £90.... I only needed the part on the outside of mirror not the full unit ie didn't need the main mirror cover.... I've just looked in my garage and still have it, Unfortunately not your color

I found A plan very expensive was with them a few years ago and renewal went UP by £200 nothing new had changed in my circumstances apart from a extra years no claims... Tryed again last year for a quote off them and hung up soon as they said £950 pffft lol

I concur with ambermarine and titch LS reference accessing water pump.... I've a 98 LS400 which I'm taking apart at moment and took wheel liner off to access abs sensor plug and noticed how accessible the windscreen wash bottle n pump are....
