Actually my friend, if you look closely you'll find the car in my avatar is none other than the humble IS200 (actually I think it's an Altezza but who cares) it is wearing the Elixir body kit which is gorgeous but sadly only available to the Japs I have tried to find one in the UK but to no avail, I want it!!!

I'm sorry mate but I really don't like it, it doesn't suit the car at all. Maybe if you get some other kit bits too it'll look ok but I'd leave the spoiler to last and then see what the finished article looks like.

I actually don't have anything against spoilers just the high level one on the IS200 sport, you do have to admit it looks a bit pants. I think the right spoiler on the right car can look the nuts, like the one in my avatar :D

It'll only work if you've got a wild lookin body kit and paint job to match, like the one in my avatar (which sadly isn't mine) It's got a huge spoiler and it looks the nuts cause the rest of the car looks banana's too, so don't do it unless thr rest of your car is nuts!! Rikos will tell you, I'm not a fan of spoilers, but done right they can look good.

The high level ones on the older 200 sport's. If you must get a spoiler get the little lip one its nearly nice.

Mine has done this since I got it, It used to annoy me but I'm over it now, it only does it when its cold and as I always say, if it aint broke (properly broke I mean) dont fix it. :)

Let me just get in here, I've had my IS200 for close on 2 years now, we've had our ups and downs, she's cost me few bob here and there. Recently I was promoted at work and landed on my feet with a pay rise that more than doubled my current wage so my first thought was "new car time". I have searched and searched and re-searched and test drove and searched some more, I honestly cant find a car I would swap my IS for, and I've been lookin at porsches, beemers, mercs, Evo's and scoobies but every time I look at my lex I just cant see any car better, sure they might be faster, but that is all they are, and if I want to I can make my IS faster! So that is what I have decided to do with my new pay rise, make my IS faster, dunno how yet but I know I aint gonna sell it so I'm off to see if I can find a supra engine going cheap :D So just buy an IS, you wont be dissapointed. Oh and dont get one with a spoiler, they look gay :P

I personally think that the older chromier rear clusters are nicer. just gettin in my 2 bits :P

I'll prob keep the lex for another year and get an E46 in time for next summer, I just got a fat pay rise so it'll be fully noticable by next year. I just love lookin at the lex, but it aint all that to drive, I want a real drivers car with bags of go, cause sadly the lovely lex is all bark and no bite, all show and no go, unless you get a charged 300 hmmm

I can assure you if I could afford a E46 M3 I wouldn't hesitate, the one I was lookin at was a T plate M3 Evo, and the Lex is better looking than th E36. I just really want the power, the M3 evo is capable of 175mph just by taking off the limiter!! I'm still in 2 minds cause I was lookin at the prices of tuning up the Lex and it aint cheap, I'd have to spend more than I was gonna be payin for the M3 and I'd still not get close to the performance of the M3, and it'd be a whole lot of hard work. So I still aint rulin out the beemer I just need more time to think!

I aint gettin rid of the lex now, I've changed my mind, Its too good looking, and the M3 isn't. So now I have to just try and match the power and performance of the M3, which I'm sure wont be easy, or cheap!

I cant do it man! I went to see the M3 in question, it was lovely, and so so fast. But it just wasnt as nice looking as the IS, I couldn't bring my self to do it!! So now my quest is to get more power from the IS, I'm thinking supra engine, or if I can find one, a V8 from a soarer, now that would be awesome! It's gonna be a long project, but I'm here for the long haul :D

I have also asked this question before for the glasgow area to no avail. There is a place in Aberdeen called wallace performance, they sold me my brakes, they might be able to help, still, I'd be almost as well drivin down to WIM as drivin up to aberdeen, but let me know how you get on.

This is even sadder, I once had an XR3i which I blew up (an oil pressure related illness) and at the time I couldn't afford another car (I was an apprentice) but my dad's mate had just bought a new car and decided he would give me his old one, which I thought was cool, until I saw it! a big black Granada!!!! I hated it at first, but after a few days I actually grew quite attached to the big girl, even nick naming her Big Mama, I kept her for about a year until bits started falling off her, and I tell you I was in floods of tears when I traded her in and watched her drive into a big lock up with the door closing down behind her, oh ***** I'm welling up just thinkin about it

Dude if only I'd read this post sooner, I'd have sold you mine, lovely black IS200 basic mods (lowered, grill, exhaust etc) I'm sadly planning to leave the LOC for the M3 OC. I just want more power!!! but retain some class.

I've had loads of problems with the brakes on my car, in the little over a year since I've had it, I've 3 sets of discs and pads on it, had the callipers greased and stuff, and had the calliper pins changed, and still to this day, I have clinks and groans from my brakes! The mechanic in my local garage actually said the lex brakes are some of the worst designed brakes he's ever seen! I'm startin to think he wasn't jokin!!!!

My car is scratched to buggery, as it is black it scratches well easy and every single blemish shows up! Who thinks I should get it re sprayed in either focus st orange or lambo orange pearl? (I want orange )

Just pads, dude, the discs alone were £500!!!!!! They aint cheap those DBA babies, but they are definately worth every penny :D

You could go the expensive route and put on air bags at the front to raise it for speed bumps. All new Lambo's have air bag suspension at the front :D

Crikey how old are you? I'm only 26 and when I started drivin it was 63p I remember years ago my mum moaning that it had went up to 40p, how good would that be! :D I use tesco's 99ron super stuff, its 96.9p where I am, I must say I dont notice much difference over normal stuff but I'm scared to go back to it now in case I do notice it when changing the other way :D
