  1. Maybe someday i will be able to stretch to a supercharger.....
  2. I like the Masitaly's Rob. Either those or the Lexus 6 spokes Masitaly have a reputation for making good wheels at reasonable prices
  3. Hi guys, I got an e-mail back from Margret Davenport at Lexus UK today, and this is the official view of Lexus UK on modifications: "Further to our telephone conversation recently regarding modification to your IS200 Sport I have now spoken to Technical and Warranty departments. As I said initially, Lexus do not recommend any modifications to their vehicles, but in any instance of an alteration it will only affect the warranty if a problem arises directly from the changes you have made. In which case that particular part or parts will not be covered, and any work related to that will be chargeable." Modifying it is then! :bounce::tumble::yes:
  4. I bet Oxy-Acetylene would get them out Vic:D Probably wouldn't do the ECU much good, but I think it is worth the risk:lol:
  5. Everything works OK up top Steve I think you should create a logo in 3D, one which pops out of the screen when you wear those crappy red and green glasses
  6. Yeah, but converting the mp3 files to cda files, you are back to being able to only fit 20ish tracks on a disc. The benefit of a dedicated car mp3 player is being able to play discs that hold hours and hours of music
  7. Woo Hoo! I win guys:lol::lol: Do you think I have scored?:D
  8. Hi Claire, I would recommend trying either: http://www.tesco.com/finance/motor/motor.htm Or http://www.belldirect.co.uk Both provided very good quotations for me when I renewed my insurance in early May. The reason I went with Bell Direct over Tesco was that they were cheaper once I told them that I planned to modify my IS. If yours is a standard car, I would recommend trying Tesco first.
  9. Great news Tony, keep us informed Just make sure that the sweet talking doesn't go any further than giving him the beer :o:o:o
  10. Hi guys, I was just wondering what the deal is with the UK Lexus warranty? When I mod my car, will the whole warranty be invalidated, or will just individual parts be affected? e.g. if I change the exhaust for the HKS Hiper, will it just invalidate the warranty on the exhaust? Cheers boyz (and UV)
  11. I only have experience of Jags and BM's ('98 XJ and '97 320) but I have to say that the build quality was shocking (for the price of the cars) on both of them. Both had been back to the dealers many many times Lexus don't have much to worry about there:smug::smug::smug:
  12. The CCTV camera is not the only answer UV. I can think of many many other ways of preventing theiving little ****s from stealing. Most of them are very painfull indeed! I think a revolving drum of aftershave coated razor blades should be compulsary for all tea leaf's:D:o:D
  13. Found it:D:tumble::D They are called "Sabre Autostyling" and their number is 0161 4490029 Ask to speak to Mike Rotch
  14. Found it:D:tumble::D They are called "Sabre Autostyling" and their number is 0161 4490029
  15. I ordered mine from Sabre motorsport in manchester, Zee. It was £170 + p+p (£9.00 + VAT) He says they take 3-5 days to arrive from Japan. Only problem is, I will have a nice shiny strut brace sitting at home, and no damm car to put it on!:mad: I will post you the number when I find it Zee:D
  16. I am intrigued.......:?::?::?::?::?::?::?::?:
  17. I have ordered my tickets for sunday 14th. Cruise strip seats for 10am:)
  18. Where do you get meguiers from Johnny? Halfords don't sell it:(
  19. Cheers Mat:D You know the main cover that has the 2.0 VVTI sticker on it - Is it always that shiny or have you had it done?
  20. looks very smart matthew! Glad I ordered one now:D
  21. I ordered a Cusco front strut brace for my IS this morning. Hope it is as good as you guys say it is!:D Was it easy to fit Mat? I am not quite sure about taking the three studs out where the the strut brace fits. Is there anything that could go wrong? I am no mechanical novice but I dont want to risk fu*king up a brand new car. My speciality lies in power stations - a bit different from a luxury Jap saloon!
