  1. Yes, definitely. Awesome torque and unless you get one of the rare duds very reliable too.
  2. Odd. I've had my IS220 more nearly 5 years and the turbo hasn't blown up yet. In fact the car seems very reliable.
  3. He said IS200D but that's a 2011 model so I'm guessing that he meant IS220D. Ask if the fifth injector has been replaced under warranty. Also check the alloys - they can suffer from corrosion on all Lexus models. If they are you might be able to get some new ones out of the dealer or at least a reduction in price.
  4. Agree. I tried a Sport and non-Sport before I bought mine and didn't like the gearing of the non-Sport. The gearing and handling of the Sport is great. Added to the torque of the diesel it makes for an awesome car. I'd not noticed anything wrong with the pedals or idling. I've had mine for four years and love it.
  5. You can get a new seal kit from Lexus for less than £40. I can't remember how much exactly. It's fairly uncomplicated to strip them down, clean and replace - even I managed it. It's just fiddly and you have to get the insides very clean. That might sort it and save you some money.
  6. I had that on mine once when it was very cold. I believe they are pushed up by the pressure of the fluid. Mine seemed to stick up when the fluid froze on using them.
  7. RWD + Snow = forget it. Last year my car couldn't even make it up the camber away from the kerb with a small amount of snow. A BMW parked in front had the same problem.
  8. I've driven 60,000 miles in mine and the gears have been fine.
  9. Hi! No, sorry, I've left it standard. After my IS200 which I modified quite a bit this car was awesome in comparison. As it was already faster, with 18" wheels, sport suspension etc I was happy enough. On the IS200 I used eibach springs which were good.

  10. I've been just driving around town recently due to a short commute for my current contract. My car seemed to become a little hesitant just below 2k and lacking in torque a bit at 3.5k when pushed hard up-hill. I filled up with BP Ultimate diesel and thrashed the car to within an inch of its life over a 200 mile round trip to visit family two weeks ago. It's been ok since.
  11. That was my thought too. For 30k there are some 2nd hand IS-F's available on the lexus website. You can also get fully loaded RX400h's 2nd hand for that money. Or a CT200h and save some money on fuel.
  12. Hmmmm I'm confused. The IS250 Auto SE-I has cruise control and electric seats and costs £27,880 but the CT200h SE-I doesn't have these as standard. To get cruise control and electric seats in the CT200h you have to get the SE-L Premier which costs £30,635. Plus the CT200h is smaller and slower. OK, so it has other things as standard too that you don't get on the cheaper IS but still... Hmmmm so do I get an CT200h SE-L and add cruise control as an option (and perhaps not get my money back for the cruise control on selling it) and live without the electric seats or just forget it and buy a second hand RX400h for the same money?
  13. Yes the 60k one is the biggy. I think mine was about £600 for my IS200. It's cheaper on the IS220/250.
  14. Lexus have now published the UK prices... £23,485 SE-I £25,200 SE-L £30,635 SE-L Premier More details... http://blog.lexus.co.uk/2010/10/uk-prices-confirmed-for-the-lexus-ct-200h-hybrid-hatchback/ So what do we think of the prices compared to say an IS or the competition such as an A3 TDI?
  15. An offer on the SE-I did briefly appear on the Lexus site and then disappear. Presumably it was made visible too early by mistake.
  16. On twitter I asked... "What's up? No CT200h prices yet!" And got the reply... "No - however we're pleased to announce that CT 200h pricing will be announced tomorrow. Watch this space..."
  17. Agree. I should probably get an RX so that I can go off-road on Reading's awful roads.
  18. The site works nice and quick for me.
  19. I wonder if we'll get this version in the UK... http://lexusenthusiast.com/2010/10/14/lexus-ct-200h-f-sport-package/
  20. Doh. I was going to say LFA. Hmmmm IS F then.
