  1. I went last year (or was it the year before?) and quite enjoyed it! Some beautiful classic cars around, and I found it awesome seeing those cars on track - overall quite glad I went :)
  2. My main annoyance is that with stuff like football you get quite a few matches for your money. If you don't already have Sky Sports and are just getting it for the F1, you are paying the subscription effectively just for 10 races (with the others on the BBC) which to me is a bit of a waste of money. Will be even worse if it's not on Sky Sports 1 or 2 which can be subscribed to individually, if it's on one of the others then I'll be really annoyed.
  3. The thing is though if you drive the is-f in a way that would be the same speeds as an is250 being thrashed, which would use less fuel?
  4. Are you talking about swirl marks and not proper scratches through the paint? If so Autoglym Super Resin Polish is quite a good one if applying by hand, and there are more hardcore polishes for use with machine polishers which will get stunning results. Other lazier option would just be to get a detailer to work his magic, they can offer stunning results - here's an example of the sort of end result they can achieve.....LINK
  5. That's quite interesting, especially given that the GS350 is so much higher up the list - and also means that I wasn't insane :winky: Can totally believe the LS600h being the top of the list, was unbelievably quiet in there!
  6. Is your key black or grey? If it's black then it should be a master, and therefore you'll just be able to get another key off ebay, get it cut and program it yourself using the guide on here. The sportcross remote is supposed to only have 2 buttons, it doesn't have a separate boot button as the boot unlocks with the rest of the car - but having said that I see no reason why a 3 button IS200 key shouldn't work if you can't find the 2 button key.
  7. I've got the same problem with mine but haven't bothered to replace it yet. Makes you wonder what they were thinking not putting any protective covering on the early ones
  8. Not sure if I'm mad ( :P ) but have to admit I was quite surprised by what the drive in the GS was like - perhaps it was a dodgy car, but it was brand new on an 11 plate and only a few k on the clock.
  9. Wheel refurbs are generally around £50-75, so shouldn't be too painful to get that sorted :)
  10. Lol, sadly the price of the engine isn't on there!
  11. Haha lol It's more the engine that I love, but I'll take the car too
  12. Nice neat install mate :) Check on your phone whether it has bluetooth settings for phone audio and music audio separately - it might be sending the music using the phone profile which may explain the poor quality.
  13. Nice wheels! Any more pics of the new interior?
  14. There are prices for the majority of parts on the sewell site for the LFA - worth a browse for comedy value LINK Some highlights: Clutch - $15k Wheel - $5k Rear brake pads - $2.5k Front bumper - $11k Headlamp - £5k Even the front badge is $900!! I suppose it's understandable on such an expensive car, but there's something weird about these prices on a Lexus
  15. This incident in particular totally puts me off that car even if I ever did think it might be a possibility. Probably not that serious in real terms, but just something I'd be uncomfortable with. LINK
  16. As above the IS200 Sportcross came with 16" alloys, so you may be lucky and find another owner on here who might be interested in a swap + a bit a cash or something?
  17. Bear in mind the 350 is an import and a 2005 car whereas the IS-Fs are 2008 cars so the price difference isn't too bad taking that into account. Also things like the satnav doesn't work I believe (or didn't when I asked a while back) - personally if you can afford it I'd go for the IS-F as if we're talking about the prolex one as it seems a car that's had a relatively hard life.......
  18. Yep they're supposed to be very good tyres, I was recently trying to decide between them and the Michelin PS3s, in the end going for the PS3s. Let us know whether the wheel swap goes, I have a feeling that might be the cause as my car felt awful at the rear when the new tyres went on.
  19. As above could be seized calipers or warped discs - I had the latter combined with warped hubs which caused the discs to re-warp until it was discovered. Expensive job to sort, but at least the car's back to being perfect again.
  20. Yep no need for a touch, you get less capacity (or maybe not any more?) and don't need the fancy touch screen. I've done exactly the same and have an iPod that lives in the car permanently, and it's just a 120gb iPod classic which is perfect for what it has to do :)
  21. How does that work? Are they a Lexus approved independent?
  22. If you use a 3.5mm jack adapter you'll lose the ability to see info on the screen and control using the car's controls. The best way of doing it would be to somehow add usb connectivity - but that could potentially end up costing just as much as the iPod. Best option may be to just get an iPod :)
  23. Definitely sounds like you need to get the geo checked - can you take the car to WIM or one of its approved centres? Also could be the tyres, I recently had a pair of Michelins fitted to the rear and it made the rear end really loose, they're now currently on the front to let them bed in a bit and then I'll swap them back. Might be worth swapping the wheels with the fronts and seeing if that helps the matter. Sorry if I'm wrong but I thought only the GS Sport had active suspension, the other models just have adaptive suspension where you can just vary the firmness of the suspension. I don't think that system will have any relationship with the steering as it just alters the shocks.
  24. It's sharpens the throttle response and holds on to gears longer. The thing I notice most is that it kicks down more eagerly. I actually find using PWR can make the car more economical depending on your driving style, as it spends more time in the right gear.
