  1. Alright mate I did the same conversion last year, the wiring is quite simple really. In my case there was wiring from the heated switch but non under the seat, but all you need to do is to locate the live switched wire from the back of the switch, and directly wire it to the seat with a fuse in between. I also found that there was no wiring for the electric seats either, but they only need a live and earth not forgetting the fuse in between. If you need a hand let me know, i'm more then happy to help. some picky's
  2. hi there, i've got an is200 s which I have modified over a couple of years, I've put some oem 17" alloys, half leather electric seats which have the grey piping, all wired up so the heating and the elecrics work on it, its had a new parcel shelf, a new sports grill, lowered slightly (20mm), a new lip spoiler and a private reg. I'm really pleased with it. Beware though, moding is very addictive!!!!! I'm now searching for a double din head unit with sat nav!!
  3. thanks for that mate, Have you got a link to the walk through mod please thanks
  4. Thanks for the ultra fast reply, its certainly cheaper which is good, was wondering about the fascia adpater. The picture on the site shows the adapter and a pocket that goes underneath a single din unit, does this adapter do both or is this the wrong one. Also how does the adapter look when its in the car, does the plastic match alright?? Thanks Shak
  5. Hi all, Right, I've had my car for a couple of years and have done a few upgrades, I now want to fit a double din cd/dvd with sat nav to replace my current oem stereo. I was wondering where do I get the fascia adapter from, also my car is s spec so there isn't an amp, will a standard toyota stereo wiring adapter (to convert to iso) be the same as the lexus??? I've seen this stereo which is a JVC kw7000 linky Does anyone here have this, or know of it, could anyone recommend me one thats in a similar price bracket??? Any help would be appreciated Thanks Shak
  6. Alright mate, I would definitely say its the thermostat mate, it sounds like its staying open shak
  7. Yep thats right mate, its £35!!!, bargain from the dealer, even I was shocked by the price it even came ready painted. Just give them your reg and they will get you one in your colour mate! shak
  8. Looks like the 25th is confirmed then. What is the actual plan for the day and what is parking going to be like, don't fancy parking nears those seven seater's for the day , it will be parking dent city.
  9. ARGH! Because my car was registered bang on 1st March 01, i fall into the "on or after 1st March 2001" category, how f**king frustrating! :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: no your ok and one of the last ones your car must be on a 'x' plate cars up to march 31st are ok to be sure go here http://www.vehiclelicence.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/ click 'vehicle enquiry' then 'next' then input you r reg and make to get the answer on what you will pay Nope, i'm on a Y reg. It's saying 12 months is £210/year, therefore i believe i fall into the new £415/year category. F**KERS Its unfortunate that, but there is nothing we can do. It seems we are living in a dictatorial country now instead of a democratic one, we have little say on what happens in this country, it really annoys me because we pay the wages to the people who run this country but have little control. The only way out of this situation is to move abroad, this country is self destructing economically and socially!!!!!!. Its not only the tax increase on vehicles, its every thing else the government has taxed us on (hidden taxes). We may as well give them our monthly salary and let them decide how mush from that we actually get.
  10. Very highly polished, what polish did you use?? looks good. Fancy swapping our wives for the weekend , my lex is due for a polish and there is no chance of my missus getting the polish cloths out. But I suppose I never let her drive my Lex, made sure of that because I never put her in the insurance!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. To be honest mate I really like the wheels. They really suit the car and I personally think they are the best wheels made for the IS. Some may differ though
  12. very smart mate, thats my favourite colour too!!!!
  13. I've just put these blades on mine, would definitely recommend these, very quiet and efficient, worth the money I would say shak
  14. Nice job mate, very neat and tidy. The interior looks really good, thats the same as what I put in mine, the grey piping makes a big difference. GOOD JOB!! shak
  15. I went to Dorset for easter, managed to average 36-37 mpg doing 70mph all the way, got 490 miles out of my tank, I filled it up from empty when the light was on. I do feather the throttle, Also I left at half four in the morning so there was no overtaking, I think thats pretty good really, although I get half that when I fill it up and just use the car for going to work and back (12 miles in total there and back). Also its a manual if you were wondering. shak
  16. I'm glad you told me. Thanks! :D I will replace my anchors before I fit the seats tomorrow. I've got the electricity figured out now, so I'm good to go as soon as the sun rises... or maybe a bit later than that. Sorry mate, just checked the thread. Looks like you have managed to sort it out now, I used the exact same guide so it pretty much explains it. Shak
  17. If you need any help, just pm me I'm happy to help if you need it, but its pretty much straight forward, like every one has said just disconnect the battery for half an hour and the airbags will be fine. Shak
  18. Alright mate, I would recommend a set of Ultra Bulbs, which can be ordered from Halfords (has to ordered as they do not stock the "Ultra" brand), They give a very white with a slight tint of blue light (around 5000k equivalent) also give 80% more light. shak
  19. Looking at the pics of this so called erdos, it looks like a standard sport, the Erdos sticker doesn't seem to be part of the original car especially when you see the stickers on the wing, makes it look really cheezy, can't see lexus making stickers like that!!. I'm sure the previous owner of the vehicle has put them on him self. Certainly doesn't look right with them stickers, but does seem like a really nice car
  20. Yeh, I agree mate, F**k the government, if you work hard for some thing that you want you should keep it, I might do the same thing if I decide to buy a newer IS200, less pints and maybe go on a diet to save a few quid at lunch, may even start taking packed lunch's to work , if I save an extra £2 a day over 5 days of the week, over 48 weeks (deducting holidays) in a year I'll save £480!!!, now that sounds like a plan!!!! B)
