  1. thanks for that, altho it was nearly a year ago :winky: I now know there is no lee-way to get change, only time to go from your car to the meter to get a ticket
  2. nah you haven't been robbed at all, they are fairly rare tho, stick a couple of pics up once fitted
  3. if the one you got is the one that ended on ebay for £36 then thats a decent price I think the one on ebay at £220 is still on there for a reason lol, its way over priced theres a sport grille on which isn't genuine and thats at £59, originally it was £119 and I messaged telling him they were £45 ish from the dealers and he asked for proof, so I linked about 5 others to him and he reduced his to £59 "for september only", it still says special offer for september only and he's re-listed it every time its ended since last year, lol, some people are very optimistic with their prices
  4. mine did this when I had leaky seals, i've never changed the bulb or the ballast and they've been fine since I dried out the moisture and improved the seal
  5. I have mintex front pads but oem discs and they squeak, just had my service and discs and pads are all fine so I know they aren't near the limit, they do the job but the squeak is annoyin
  6. to be fair these are only recorded figures, I never had my rover 200 proffessionally looked at when it got scratched etc, nor does every tom ***** or harry who drives cars of a lower standard/value (be it personal or sentimental)
  7. 3 of those top ten have all been vandalised outside my house, nothing worse that being scratched tho :( My green IS, Ex's MX5 and a friends Audi TT
  8. are they made for UK use tho? IS300 headlight fitment and IS200 headlight fitment is slightly different too
  9. I did this years ago and have never had any issues since
  10. is it easy to inspect it tho, I thought once u've got to the point of being able to see it, it may as well be whipped off for a new one anyway, and i'm not at all a mechanic so i'd only be asking someone else to do it anyway
  11. Cheers for that, gettin a straight answer on t'other forum doesn't seem to be straight forward
  12. The service recommendation for the timing belt on the IS200 was revised from 100k or 10 years, to 60k or 6 years, but was it revised for the IS300 too, my book just says 100,000 miles, but doesn't say if it needs doing every 6 or 10 years, I could do with a confirmation from someone in the know as even my local Toyota and Lexus dealers are unsure My IS300 is a 2002 and i've had it just over a year, it had just under 49k when I got it in Jan '10, and I had it serviced May '10 with 50k on and Now it has 56,400, FLSH and no mention of Timing belts ever been done altho goin thru the receipts it seem the previous owner spent a fotune lookin after it
  13. Ormi will know more than I but i'm guessing a problem with the key fob could be the cause?
  14. Rather than risk damage to the original mesh by removing the moulded sport badge, I changed the entire mesh and attached a small Lexus Logo (from a centre cap)
  15. theres a rhd IS300 breaking at the moment on eby, chances are the pedals are available...
  16. thats just so no one buys it, his intention is just for people to ask about other parts
  17. I only got the one as I wanted an 18" spare in the boot, it was too cheap not to get it despite me not haing a set on my car

    Hi All!

if the tyres were illegal get the trader to pay for the replacements
  19. for a crazy price of nearly £300 a wheel, altho I picked up a clearance one from Lexusbirm (ebay shop) for the tidy sum of £20 delivered I could actually do with askin my local dealer if they have any lying around at clearance prices

    Alloys

I think its a chrome finish yeh, had a set a while back but it was bubbling on a couple of them near the centres so I let them go when I got a good offer, i've not bumped this thread for a while as I do still like the wheels i've got and i've seen a couple more IS's with TTE's on and obviously quite a few newer red ones have the standard 11 spokes too, I like mine being different, I can't make my mind up from one day to the next
  21. I was told to get my water pump checked at 60k so I bought one but later found mine had been done under warranty at 40k so I got my cash back on the new one and just had the belts done
  22. Kwikfit featured on watchdog not too long ago for shoddy work, createing jobs that didn't need doin etc, i'll never use them, wouldn't recommend them to anyone
