  1. OEM ones do pop up from time to time, and even if they are grubby they do polish up well without too much effort
  2. sport grille from lexusbirm on ebay, new, inexpensive, and already painted
  3. mines not Aztec, its Scarlatti (is300 didn't come in aztec) I wouldn't putt a black bonnet on, i'd have it re painted, I have a rust patch at the front edge of my bonnet so I want a new one, I have a carbon bonnet here but I am not fitting until I know what my next move is, also picked up a set of 11 spoke standard 17's after I decided against bidding on that black 300, so it'll look standard apart from the body kit parts
  4. that one is from near where I work, I never saw it driven hard, I do reckon it was looked after but wasn't convinced about the timing belt simply because he only have the word of a friend that it had been done, I came so close to throwing a bid in at the last second just to butcher it for bits as i'm after a bonnet and wheels
  5. Welcome Chelle, what did u do with the original alloys? Been after a set for a while
  6. Cheers, Nah it could be weeks, even months before I find the right car to leave Lexus for,
  7. I'm merely looking at the options, Yeh I can afford it, but if there's nice cars that cost half to fuel and tax its a decent amount to be saved, its just a sensible option I'm exploring that's all, obviously reliability is a major factor, no point saving half the running costs only to pay double to maintain,
  8. Always wanted an is200, long before I knew there was an is300, since i was about 19, didn't start driving til I was 26 so by then I had money to spend, now I've been in a Lex for 6 years, and its getting harder (not impossible yet) to justify the costs, my brother's Audi costs half as much to run so I go down the same track, but only for the right car, the jag seems to fit the bill if I can find a good one The way I see it is I can be back in a Lex in a heartbeat if I decide to Had a look at an X type today, it wasnt quite what I wanted, full leather is very shiny, I prefer the leather in the Lex so I only want a half leather interior in a jag, and has to have no chrome on it, watch this space as I patiently wait for a 2.0 or 2.2 diesel sport with half leather, that isn't too far away, with reasonable miles on it.
  9. Think I'd struggle to get a decent phaeton for 5k, but that's probably my favourite if I had a little more cash, always liked them
  10. Infinti g35 fuel economy won't be much better will it? Gonna have a go in a jag x type sport tomorrow, maybe nice enough, u never know, Insurance won't be too bad i reckon, Chrysler 300c is too expensive unless I want a quarter of a million miles already on it, Honda accord has no appeal to me, even looked at an Audi a3 1.6 petrol or 1.9 diesel but again very common like the 3 series, but I have considered those
  11. Jag X type diesel has caught my eye, dunno anythin about them tho
  12. But only if my question can be answered: Is there such a thing as a Nice, Reliable, AND Economical car for £5k or less, and I rarely do long journeys so I reckon diesel is not really recommended, but I don't want to blend in as such, I do want a nice badge on it....
  13. evostevo are you Westhoughton side of Bolton? my brother is a posty in Bolton (based Horwich way) and mentioned he's seen a white one about...
  14. definitely not an LE, however the LE grille was an optional extra even on the LE car. The dash trays - to buy the one that replaces the entire flat tray and vents (04>) costs a fortune from the dealers and is about 18 seperate parts to order if I remember correctly, the aftermarket JDM type that only replaces the felt pad was about £60 I managed to pick the proper one up for about £50 delivered off another member a good while ago, it has held only my sunglasses since, expensive if you look at it that way, but I wouldn't give it up for anything lol
  15. have to agree, I reckon mine is worth £3.5k all day long but running costs mean its goin nowhere, i'm keepin it until it breaks, or until I break it
  16. yes, it appears to be from the lexus range as lexusbirm (ebay seller - lexus birmingham) has one that looks a lot like it at £86 181089891906
  17. I have those sidelights, one lasted a month or so, t'other gave up this week, cheap tat lol, I shall be replacing when I can be bothered (for mot) but I'll get better ones next time
  18. Reckon he's missed a zero out of that figure, other than fill in in the fields in the form there's no description, surely you'd be ravin on about the low miles
  19. does anyone know if an 18 x 8j with offset of +45 on the front rub on full lock? ( 225 40, not lowered)
  20. I would assume its done in a similar manner to the saloon, remove the boot lining to get at the nuts from inside the boot??
