  1. lol.. its true!! and the nice people at apple have given all pc users safari. i use a mac laptop and a pc desktop. on the desktop i use google chrome.. personally i find it the best browser out there and has far less threats pop up than with any of the others..
  2. use google chrome or safari.. you will be safe then..
  3. considering what they fetch on ebay you may be best to bite the bullet as they say. offer to pay him back what you originally paid minus half the costs of the parts if he agrees then its still only cost you around £160..
  4. hopefully you got away with it.. my understanding is that if the item has cost less than £400 then they invoice you..
  5. even after they arrive you can still get a customs bill through the post upto a few weeks later..
  6. oh!! yeah sounds like a good plan!
  7. so basicaly.. on a standard engine £100 on short shift stick is prob going to make much diff.. i ask because on my old civic i went to buy one and the performance place told me not to bother and just to cut it down..
  8. amibeing stupid here or do you get the same effect if you shortened the oem stick then?? :duh:
  9. Yer but snapped screws not a real problem mate, Tom-18s yer thats scrap, and patrik's one, reds may be thinking about the one Asi got ? but that was coz it had spent 9yrs in damp shed and passed off as new :o that makes 5 then!! there is another member with problems according to a lexus dealer but i wont mention the member. im sure of they need help from loc then they will post up. Now if somebody could sell one with a guarantee of some sort then thats a diff story. Im sure if you sold one Gord you would be confident of it. :>
  10. sorry to hear this patrik, thats 4 chargers that i know of that are having problems in the last month or so.. its has made my mind up that at 2k its just too much to gamble..
  11. lookin good.. on my list of things to do!
  12. i bought on retention then just went to the DVLA office and had it done there and then. Took about 30 mins to do all paperwork, inc tax, logbook and mot. i would pop to the dvla office and see what they say.. take them a nice cold drink to speed matters along!!
  13. mine were the same. i believe there is a fixing bracket at both ends that fills the difference. we made one as mine were second hand..
  14. just had similar with tint-r if i remove the rear shelf. :D
  15. bassjunkies... (will get a price tomorrow as i might b gettn mine done too!) tint-r in nottingham have always done great work. there is also a place in edgbaston, bham but i would need to get there details for you.
  16. i paid 250 for prepping second had rear and sides, new front, spraying and fitting.. sounds like you get a decent price. Just look at some of there other work first to be sure.. if its bad you will spot it a mile of especially on the rear..
  17. Totally, and I'm sure a lot of people will now follow suit! :winky: yes! i know a few people expressed interest when i first spoke about it.. the small ashtray one is now up for sale in the sale section! :winky:
  18. not at the moment..BIG cuts at the moment including a load of redundancies.. The whole UK rollout is shelved for now. Im taking my money and im off soon!!
  19. Cool, it looked like it was pointing straight up, but to be fair I think all centre speakers in cars point upwards, but they're usually on the top of the dash so the sound would reflect off the windscreen - it was only because it's so low down that I was curious, but glad it works so well :) it depends on the installation, there is an alpine unit that is din sized forward facing, the kenwood and another alpine is upwards, pioneer is in between the two.. location of centre plays a big part and i think ideally it would have gone on top of the dash, reflecting like you say, but no room without cutting either the dash away or the nav housing, both of which i wouldnt do! it is low down and was sceptical if it would work but it only costs time to experiment and this one went well!!
  20. does look very nice.. but its already modified.. whats left for you to do!! B)
  21. YEAH RIGHT!! just received a call on my landline (which i never use) form a nice chap offering to fix my PC. He noticed it was running slow and wanted to help me fix it! "can you turn it on so that we can run some diagnostics for you" this proceded for about 5 mins until SHOCK HORROR, i need new anti virus and a PC clean up which they can do for me now if i gove them my ip address, download there software and pay a nominal service charge.. me to pc check guy 'George' "but if you know my 'pc' is running slow then you must already have my ip address and did i tell you i work for Geek Squad and its actually a mac that im using so all your waffle is nonsense?" 'george' to me "ok sir thanks for the call" ?? they called me?? Just another scammer that i enjoyed wasting 10 minutes of his time...
  22. its pointing straight up.. Incar is different to home where it points towards you. pointing outwards/facing forward was too distinguishable. the idea is that it points towards the ceiling and intercepts with where front too meets. was a bit of a gamble but it paid off! @stevie.. i think it is but i got it from wilkinsons.. was a bargain at £10!!
  23. i would get the cheap one for now.. some of the other things that you want to add may have pass throughs..
  24. best one or cheapest?? best one would be something like the Kenwood KVA-S300 AV Selector as stav says you will get a cheap manual one off ebay.. item: 400053008466 - £3.50!! veba also do one.. i can get you a price if you want? think what stav means is IIRC that his is on a manual switch that you physically switch. some come with a remote that does it electronically..
