  5. Oooops Ormi, sorry for bashing on about plod!!! Didn't know that your better half (creep, creep, crawl, crawl) was a Traffic Police Woman Sergeant person. They are a wonderful bunch of people, and Ithink they are great, no matter what everyone else says... :winky: :winky: :winky: :winky: Hope She forgives me now??? LOL Col... :D
  6. I love Stratford... Col.. :winky: :)

  8. getting pulled is nothing new, been pulled before for doing some really dumb stuff (such as 90 in a 30, doing 120 on the m25, etc...) and i still have a clean licence. dont ask me why they always let me off but they do. confuses the hell out of me. could have lost my licence around 6 times over. as for just keeping my lexy normal, cars are my hobby. i like to play with them in my spare time. i brought the lexus cos it has so much potential for what i can do to it. my main plan is to drop a 2jz-gte in, saving up for that at the moment. it keeps me busy and stops me "vandilising phone boxes and mugging grannys" cos thers bugger all else to do around here. as for converting them to driving lights, as far as im aware, it is not a legal requirement fo have front fogs, just rear. and there are alot of vechiles on the road with driving lights hooked up to their full beams. it wouldnt take alot to fully convert the fogs to driving lights, but would like to be able to use them when its foggy too. Fair play mate. Each to his own as they say. Your lucky gettin pulled and not prosecuted. I passed a plod piggy bank (speed camera) a few weeks ago and got clocked for doin 80 in a 70 zone. £60 quid and three points. Firsy in 30 odd years of driving, and I'm a memer of the IAM. "BARSTEWARDS ISAY!!). Anyway, glad you ain't muggin oldies.... I'm 53 and have 6 grandchildren.... lol... Col :winky: :D :D :)
  9. Y'know wot I'm thinkin????... What for? and, Why bother??? Just keep yer Lexy normal. They look great as they are. or, go for some more classy mod's??? Col.. :winky: :D :) ;)
  10. Well, ya learn summit new every day.... Hope plod knows this too, cause some of em can be jobsworths... ooops, sorry plod... lol Col :winky: :D
  11. Botty bum boooooss.. I thought that was a good price.... Col..
  12. Sorry mate, but, I am almost certain is not legal. Quite clear in the highway code that Front/Rear fogs must only be used in very poor visibilty. (Heavy rain, mist, fog, snow..blah dee blah). If you do it, you run the risk of plod pulling you over. You might just get a warning, or............. Col...
  13. Echo what Tommy said mate.. They are fantastic motors. I'd sleep with mine if I could... (oops, too much information.. lol). Col.. :winky: :winky: :D :)

  16. Erm, sorry folks for posting this here, but seems the meet thread isn't getting much reponse. We had a fair few coming to start with, now it looks like we're down to four. So if you can come along, can you please let us know asap. Ormi has done good work in trying to get us all together, so, let's support him. I personally would like to put faces to names at last. Col.. :winky: :D :)
  17. Hope this works. For those that appreciate cars, I took some piccies at the motor show on Sunday in Alford, Scottish land. Enjoy Col.. :winky: :)
  18. Hi m8, I'm from Newtonhill, Stonehaven in the north east of Scotland, close to Aberdeen. Good to see another Celt around, to be sure, to be sure... My family originates from Conlig.. Col.. :winky: :D :)
  19. You have to think of the IS200 sport, or any Lexus as a prestige/executive motor. You buy them you got to expect that something might not be your cup of tea. For me, I don't mind the petrol consumption. Also you can squeeze a wee bit more out of getting geometry done and fitting a K&N air filter. It's a drivers car, and, you get a load of extras for your money, and, dare I say it one of the most reliable cars on the road. I recommend it highly. Col.. :winky:
  20. Wonder if peeps are on their Hol's or something mate. Is it worth it if only three of us turn up??? Any other car club enthusiasts that may be interested? D'you know any Asi??? Col..
  21. If it starts OK mate, it should be fine. The engine bay might need a clean though.. The reason I said to keep the rev's up is to ensure you maintain a steady outlet pressure through the exhaust to prevent water backfowin causing the engine to stall. That's why most real off roaders have periscope exhaust pipes. Hope the tips are helpful. It pays after all to be an advanced motorist>>> Col.. :winky: :winky: :D :D
  22. When driving through fairly deep water, get your speed right down. Stay in first and keep you rev's up all the time. You may need to slip the clutch intermittemtly to keep your speed steady. Don't be tempted to bosh through at speed as this will push water up in to the engine bay and saturate the electrics which will cause the engine to cut out. When you're out of the flood, drive with your foot on the brake (gently) to take the ater off the discs and heat up the calipers to evapourate surface water on them. Hope this helps... Col... :winky: :)
  23. I'll be easy top spot, I'll be the overweight, ugly, white headed baldy old fart... lol Col :winky:
  24. I'll be there guys.. Please try and make it if you can.. Col.. :winky: B)
