(originally they quoted me £270 by e-mail, then followed up with a courtesy call saying that they'd do all four fot the £240!). - Mine are 17" wheels... Money well spent... I'd say so. Hi Peeps, I''l try to be quick with this. Today I had my alloys completely restored/refurbed by "The wheel specialist" in East Kilbride. Now, I live in Newtonhill which is close to Aberdeen, and tried to find a reputable and reasonable place locally who could do a proper job and give customer focus. Well, I tried a few, and failed to find somewhere who were a) interested in taking my money, B) Keen to please and sell their professional services to give a high standard of wheel retore/refurb. No chance. Why?? Maybe becuase there is too much Oil money still gurgling around in Aberdeenshire. So I gave up and, found "The Wheel Specialist" after trawling the web. I left early this morning and drove the 140 odd miles down to East Kilbride where I was met by John Grove of the aforementioned. Well, I can only say I was treated like someone real special. He showed me what they did, gave me a choice of finishes and explained the process, even down to removing rubber, refurbing, baking the wheels in the often, finishing and waxing.... They ran me to the nearby shopping Mall, and, picked me up later when the jobe was finished. Result=Alloys which look completely brand new. These guys are BRILLIANT, and I can recommend them to anyone.. Honestly. (I don't give praise lightly either!). So, if you are in Haggis land, and you want a truly excellent and well priced alloy refurb'/restore.. THESE ARE THE GUYS. Praise over............. Col... :D :) :D :)

Just a thought, but, do you maybe have a flat spot on one of your tyres?? I had this before and it drove me nuts.. wheel balancing.. blah dee blah, but turned out to be a front tyre flatspot.. Col... :winky:

OK, this may sound daft, but, it really works... Get a lint free cloth and soak it in warm water. Get a tube of toothpaste and sqirt a blob on the wet cloth and wipe your windscreen fairly hard. Do this a couple of times. Then wash of with warm clean water and dry with a chamois... (and yes!! I do watch how clean is your house!!!! amn't I sad git.. lol).. Col :winky: :winky:

Maybe just me, but, I find it easy to kerb my Lexus when parking. It's a real pain especially in Aberdeen wher ther high Granite pavements. Anyone else paranoid about this.. (well maybe not paranoid just pee'd off!!). Col..

You've got a six cylinder 2litre engine to crank over, so it won't burst in to life at one turn. Mine is the same, but not sluggish and battery 100%. Don't worry it won't be anything serious, the guys here'll help mate. Col..

I put Eagle F1's on mine recently. Grat tyres in dry conditions but not so good ine wet or snowy/icy roads. Col... :winky: I see. Was going to suggest you go for the Gooyear Eagle F1 asymetrics. I had 4 for these fitted last November, cost me £93 a tyre. Best tyres I have used on my IS200. If the budget tyres you are going for are Fullrun HP199's then I wish you good luck. I had a set of these before the Goodyears- totally :tsktsk: tyres IMHO.
