  1. The bit on the back refers to the date by which you have to have had a letter from your doctor saying that you are still fit to drive. The date that the photocard expires on is the day before your birthday on the 10th year that you have held the photocard.
  2. I find that it is slightly smoother with 99RON (Tesco 99 or Optimax) and you get a bit more mileage with it. However the car is fine with standard fuel - the ECU has been tuned to it for the UK. When the manual states use premium fuel that is for the US where i think they can get around 93 ron at the pumps: so is saying use 95.
  3. asi where did you get your Helix one from? Gonna need a new one pretty soon after getting my S/C put in.
  4. I've fitted one - it may be all BS but I believe i noticed a smoother engine and better sound quality.
  5. Guys i would check to see if you have a clip either side of each of your brake pads on the front. I am experiencing the same thing (knocking/clinking going over potholes, changing direction....) and its deffo the brake pad moving. I've got only 1 pad loose - if you have more it does sound like suspension knocking.
  6. he's probs bought the oem replacement exeddy.
  7. Cold be the brake pads moving around inside to caliper. If it is - just a set of clips from lexus.
  8. The charger was probably used for test fitting or similar by the Motor Sport company in question. The corrosion to the charger looks about right for the amount of time its been sitting badly packaged in probably a damp environment. It may never have been run - hence "brand new." Not sure if I would have been happy with it though. I think others are right - shop soiled is probably the best way to describe them. I'm a little confused as to why the official ancillaries were not used on the 2 demo cars (dave got 5 chargers but 7 sets of everyhting else) - but probably explains why 1 blew up!
  9. Yep just standard 17" wheels - trying to keep it as oem looking as poss, would love a set of TTE Chicane's though.
  10. Glad thats all cleared up. Dave - am interested in 1 of the airboxes will email you tomorrow re that and those c-one bushes
  11. As said Stav's kit is in better nick which I got it off him this weekend. For comparison:
  12. Bloody hell mate that's shocking. I'm 99% sure they were advertised as brand new, how on earth is the tape missing??
  13. i'll take one later. Or now before the light really fades - well as long as you call TDI for us lol :)
  14. k&n route is best tbh. Much simpler and the ram air setup is pretty good.
  15. I got the Eibach's fitted to my sport just prior to Xmas. They say they are a 35mm drop but it looks way more. I think it means 35mm drop from Sport height which is a fair bit. I was also worried that the back of the car would be higher than the front as the Sport has increased lowering on the rear compared to the front but it was an even drop - another pointer to the figures being from Sport hieght.
  16. Asi did you find out if TDI still have them? as I would like one for my kit when its installed the bring the noise of the induction kit down along with cooler air.
  17. Lexus GR - The TDI price for the TTE kit will have included fitting. I do not think that they have any kits left to carry it out though.
  18. Rear Speakers look like this, I swapped mine out recently. They're mid/bass speakers below with tweeters on top. I was suprised by how small the 2nd speaker was, but i suppose Lexus do count the front tweeters in the 8 too.
  19. im running something similar to you (-35mm springs, c-one arbs, sp9000s and Wim'd) and don't find this a problem, but i am mostly driving in london. You must be driving pretty damn hard to get the back out - only really happens to me when i'm driving like an idot (not that i'm saying you are! lol) or on purpose -but i dont tend to do corners with the engine over 3.5k rpm so it wouldn't anyway I reckon. How old are your tyres?
  20. I always assumed the Mintex kit was OEM replacement. Am I wrong here? If I was going for an upgrade I would use Mintex Xtreme pads. asi - I looked around a lot for the brake lines and the Goodridge ones are the cheapest and highly rated.
  21. Yep as Asi said the Blueflame seems to be designed for the TRD/TTE rear lip as it does stick out an inch on the standard bumper. I'll try and get a picture up for you of it with TRd on. Sound wise the Blueflame is pretty loud initially but quietens down quite nicely once the soot has built up inside. Still got a nice noise to it - i always forget how nice it sounds untill im at a garage and the mech is driving it onto the ramp.
  22. The Brake lines are about £45 on Ebay from memory. I thought they'd be fine as Goodridge make brake lines for motorsport.
