  1. Aren't the hybrids turbo's the same lag for more maximum bost - therefore as you said you'll be running the same boost you'll have the same lag but the turbo won't be running as close to max boost as the original one. Looking awesome though :) Hope the Gel Stickers don't melt :P
  2. Just been quote £1k for my IS with Supercharger, Exhaust, Lowering Springs and ARBs. Im 26 with 2yrs NCB. You just have to pay for nice things :)
  3. Dazz the KYB shocks aren't bad. But they are £100 a pair retail so I dunno if you consider that cheap.
  4. That picture makes your wheels look HUGE patrik!! Car is looking great though. +1 on pinned
  5. If your IS200 is getting 140BHP at the fly it has lost power via old airfilter, sparkplugs, oil etc...... probably the airfilter as the custom air intake + AFC controller gave way more power than it should have.
  6. Yeah lifetime on a clutch won't be your lifetime nor the life of your car. At the least the warranty will be non transferrable under the assumption that you will no longer have the car by the time it fails. There are Exedy clutches on Ebay for roughly £150, these are OEM replacement so as good as if not better than the Lexus/Blueprint one IIRC.
  7. From that site it would seem: Powertrain performance Wheel power :138bhp Wheel torque: 129lb-ft Stated engine performance Engine power: 153bhp Engine torque: 144lb-ft Dyno Chart: Looks like 10% transmission loss.
  8. I have previously seen that the IS200 came as an option with 16 Spoke wheels similar to the OZ racing Superturismos - which were made by OZ. I've seen a set on Ebay quite cheap - though they have awful tyres on them. Ebay Item Potentially these wheels Even though they are 17" they look tiny on the GS. Anybody got a piccy of these on an IS200/300? I've trawled google and can't find a thing. I'm really torn about them - love superturismo's (i know they're not) and wan't to keep it OEM but think they might look tiny. So basically i'm just looking for pictures. cheers, Ed
  9. Yeah i'd go for TTE/Eibach ones, they are a good ride and improves handling. They are a 35mm drop. TTE springs (which are Eibach) can be had from Lexus for less then £190 - more so if your a goldie.
  10. Just the one for 15 € posted - so not cheap. Heres the email I received from Friedel Beyer I ordered the one for the boot: Dear Ed, Many thanks for your inquiry. There are 2 small stickers for the front fenders 108x8mm at 6,65 € per piece and a big one for the trunk lid 155x12mm at 11,52 € If you want to order please send your mail address and credit card details . Best regards Toyota Motorsport GmbH Friedel Beyer
  11. Got a packet in from the Toyota F1 team (TTE) yesterday. Just thought i'd post up what these look like:
  12. That sounds exactly like the problem i had. The pads are floating so get caught by the disc when you change direction (either left/right or forward/backward) though i also get it over pot holes.
  13. Sainsburys are supplied mainly by BP I believe.
  14. yeah its cheap as i paid £150! But i was lazy.
  15. Steve I imagine what Mat meant was they would not improve handling on the standard ARBs - which is what they look like they are supposed to do. The problem I see with getting them for ARBs designed for the OEM fitment though is that they might be too big.
  16. Hadn't really thought about it back then. Hmm so i'll be be looking for the orig one then if i win this SSQV lol. Is the gold as bad as the Purple? Thought it was the same but different colour to the original.
  17. "this is a proper lexus kit with lexus stamped on each piece" I really dont think this is true - never seen that kit before. Doesn't look bad though.
  18. Yep does sound good - i'm bidding for a second hand one on Ebay atm. Also got the purple piece inside for a slightly lower sound which i wanted. Luckily i've got Stav's T-Piece :)
  19. From memory they are the brackets supplied with the TRD sportivo kit hence they are branded TRD. This has been discussed before and Mat tends to be right about these things.... I'd go for C-ONE bars as Steve recommended - we both have them fitted and are very pleased plus they come with their own brackets. Other ARBs, TTE for example, use the OEM mountings.
  20. Steve it looks like you have the early Sport before they increased the lowering on the rear c.2000. Mines a 2001 Xreg and had the even height sport lowering (i think it's another 15mm on the rear.) Yours should look the same as mine with TTE/Eibach springs. I'd forgotten how high the car is without anyone inside lol - only ever really see mine or ones driving around.
  21. nope you should be fine - just remember to put axle stands on if you are working under the car :)
  22. Cous that looks about the same height as mine but you have 18"s on and its a different angle so could be wrong. I was slightly concerned that the lowering would be hardly anything as with a 35mm drop when your 15mm down anyway is nothing - but it dropped 20mm at least before it even settled!
  23. Glad thats sorted Chris as i know you were a little frustrated with waiting when i saw you. I've gotta wait till the end of April to fit mine so imagine how i feel!
