  1. Cheapest I can find in UK. http://www.shop4toyota.co.uk/product/Ashtray_74102-02140 US prices from ~$18. May be over there on business later in the year so might find a Toyota dealer and get a couple or will just resort to the ebay ones I found as cant bring myself to pay even £18 as above
  2. A good result all round then, nicely done :-)
  3. Sorry adnewton thatis not how hill start assist works. Leave car in drive, push brake pedal hard to floor and the hill start assist engages, keep foot on brake but when releasing brake you will get a couple of seconds of hold befor setting off
  4. What does your online account have as insured vehicle and reg? If its the Is then why worry but you could always call them to check. I am with them and alway found them super helpful when I have needed to call. Transition from CT to IS was seemless and change of reg when private plate transfer completed was done via phone in a couple of minutes
  5. Still, £50 makes me wince as I am a tight yorkshireman
  6. You pays yer money.......etc Very true, but in this case the Lexus price is pretty steep, £80 vs £5 :-)
  7. I read a review wich advised to hold the car with the foot brake and not put in park as this disables engine/drive battery management so is worse for fuel consumption as engine will keep running
  8. Doh, sorry 2 x http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/391201316938?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT 5 x http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231648899394?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Found these mudflaps whilst searching for some for the wifes new CRV, anyone got any thoughts on whether they might be a good to take a chance on http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/311378682431?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  9. Thanks for the reply and links, great idea that. I found these ashtrays/bins too, not quite as smart as the OEM ones but only £5.09 for 2. so might get some just to see what they are like. Would only use them for storage. No smoking allowed :-)
  10. I have a full Rx300 tehnical manual if needed but its on my PC and is large file so could burn it and send for cost of disc and postage. Let me know by PM if any use
  11. Since I doubt Mark Levinson actually manufactures speakers I suspect you could source a better quality same size driver, minus ML sticker for far less, check out Wilmslow Audio or Google Peerless, Vifa, Seas or Scanspeak drive units
  12. Try heating the dent with a hairdryer and when very hot spray with one of the compressed air duster things held upside down so the propellant hits the dent, its very cold and the temp change might pop it out or very nearly
  13. I am afraid a test drive is a very slippery slope, Lexus Bradford loaned me one for a day and I wanted it before I had driven 2 miles down the road. Good look resisting LOL. The is300 made my CT seem very ordinary
  14. ASDA have Demon Shine Spray on Shine at £2 for a 1 litre spray bottle. (£5.99 almost everywhere else) Not the best but its very cheap and produces a nice finish so worth a try. The bottle did about 8 washes
  15. I went from an RX300 to a CT200h in 2011 which was a big step down and whilst it saved me a load of momney in fuel, insurance and road tax it never really felt like the Lexus I was usd to. The ride was way too hard and the road noise intrusive on rough surfaces and engine note on steep hills or hard acceleration was always something that irritated me, I liked it but never loved it. Switched to a 300h in June and the difference is night and day. Better ride quality even on18" rims, much quieter, engine note is far (by a long way) less CVT ish such that I hardly notice it, acceleration better, interior is superior, infact there is no real comparison. Fuel consumption is currently 48mpg average calculated (trip says 51.5mpg) over 6 weeks versus 53mpg over 4 years ownership of the CT so I am fairly happy with that as the other benefits outweigh the reduction. Get the 300 and imo you wont be sorry
  16. I have one if anyone is interested.
  17. Hi, After a 2 hour drive the vehicle power display on the main screen lost the outline of the car and the wheels, leaving only the blue red and amber flow indicators with engine, battery and motor. Anyone seen this before?. It returned to normal after power off and back on but will be taking in to main dealer along with photo evidence to see what they say.
  18. I went from an RX300 to a CT200h both with standard sound system and the difference was a massive drop in sound quality and bass. My recent change to is300h premier with ML intially left me somewhat underwhelmed........however, adjust bass one below half way, increase mid range to ~3/4, reduce treble to 1/2 or maybe a bit less and shift balance one step to rear, surround on and then INCREASE the volume a lot and the system really comes alive. The first time I did this was with ACDC on R2 with Thunderstruck and it didnt half make me grin a couple of weeks ago. Normal volume is just OK IMO as sound systems go but its damned fine at higher levels, in fact its probably the best sounding of any car I have had.
  19. Found these, havent measured yet but reckon the will be good on the is300h http://www.aliexpress.com/item/PLASTIC-LED-Blue-LIGHT-Illuminated-DOOR-SILL-threshold-of-Article-Scuff-PLATE-For-Lexus-es350-250/32353130689.html
  20. £125 inc postage unless you live up to 20 miles from Huddersfield in which case I would them off or depending how far away you are we could meet half way
  21. Try Thule T-track bolts just Google them, they will fit and work fine IMO as my Thule bars I had when I owned an RX300 with tracks used a foot with the T track bolts in them
  22. probably broke the rules with that last post LOL
  23. Well said Geof! I have upgraded to an is300h and it would be nice to be able to offer my CT accessories on here without having to pay for gold membership. Anyway ebay has shifted the rubber mats to a very happy new owner :-)
