  1. sorry for not replying everyone. havent had a chance to do any more insurance hunting yet but you're all right I think. Everything is against me when it comes to the insurance unfortunatly. I thought that being 25 the insurance may have come down a bit but I thought wrong. With living in the manchester area which is mostly high risk even tho my area is ok I think and not having any ncb behind me isnt helping much either. I'm gonna keep trying as my time is running out and if it aint insured by the end of the month it means I havent got a car to drive as the civic will be off the road then too. The clock really is ticking for me. Hope I get it sorted in time.
  2. car is a 52 plate with only 14k on the clock lol. Its been off the road for year though at least I'd say.
  3. As I'll be getting the cam belt changed on my car soon I was just wondering, should I get the auxillary belts done as well? has anyone done them or is there a service schedule for them?
  4. I'll be getting the aeroflat type of wipers for my car but just need to decent what brand to get or to just get the ones that are on ebay.
  5. £4500 for a 05 plate car?!!! omg thats cheap! if u dont mind me asking how did u get it so cheap? was it high mileage?
  6. u sure they're not the aero kit wheels?
  7. how much do ARBs cost and how about fitting them?
  8. omg this project is moving along so quickly! some great looking work there. cant wait to see it finished and hopefully some vids of dyno runs ;)
  9. do you remember which insurance company you used by any chance mate?
  10. Just did a quote on tescos website and it came back with £1888! lol...still looking at others. Anees, I've already tried moneysupermarket and confused.com mate. Moneysupermarket gave me the best quote when I was trying with me as 2nd driver but with me as policy holder its got a lot more difficult to get a good quote.
  11. Thats well steep I think mate but I have noticed places are getting more expensive when it comes to such things as tyre replacement/balancing etc. I know a nice little place in longsight that does puncture repair for a fiver tho and think everything else is cheap as well ;) Where abouts are u located mate?
  12. Kaspersky Internet Security, best firewall/antivirus I've ever "bought" cough cough...
  13. Due to personal circumstances, I cant insure my car under my dads name with me as 2nd driver in order to keep my insurance down so I'm desperatly trying to get insurance quotes under my name but they're silly high with the lowest currently being £1800.If anyone can help me then I need insurance below the £1k figure, preferably below £800, I know its a lot to ask but thats what my budget is unfortunatly at the moment. I've had quotes of £500 fully comp under my dads name so hopefully its possible. I'm 25, with no ncb and live in the manchester area. Can anyone recommend me any insurers please who could help me as I need to get the car on the road by march 1st without any hiccups. Thanks

  18. cool. thanks for the info mate. how did u go about installing the sensor for the intake also? Forgot what the sensor is called
  19. can we have some links if possible mate to where u got the bits from on ebay? i'm very interested. also which filter have you used?
  20. that induction kit looks well sweet mate. where did u get the bits from for it as £40 is a bargain and I think many other members would be interested in making one for such a low cost. I've noticed that the pipe thats tucked under your strut brace is slightly kinked, will this not affect airflow and can u get hard pipes of the right size/angle so u dont have the kink?
  21. I may be interested but will have to see closer to the time to make a final decision. Put my name down provisionally for now
