Toy Martin should have received a token sentence and been released on appeal - not have appeals rejected and made to serve full term. The remaining :tsktsk: should never have been given the right to sue. If burglars expect to get shot they will merely go in armed in the first place - though a good slapping should be expected / considered fair play if they get caught ... In thwe States a mate was told to build a handrail around a roof decking in case someone tried to break-in and fell - so leaving him liable for their injuries - now that is MAD ... :o

Fines rarely work as the judges let them pay by instalments - all they do is replace the car with another nicked motor and carry on - is shotting the only real answer ?

So they pay £200 whenever they get caught and get 6 points each time - then leave court and carry on driving. We pay circa £5 - 600 insurance, worry about where to leave our cars, avoid point like the plague ... Wonder who has really got it right here ? Rant over.

Seem to recall pre-paid service plans being listed on official Lexus site - appear to be available to both new and second hand cars at any time. Just wondered if they really offer any savings - especially as mine is due a 60k next ... £1,900 must have really hurt ! - and there was me thinking I had been burgled alone.

Glad I am not the only one who paid shed-loads ... They accepted the haggling due to stamping the service book for a service not done when I bought the car - bit naughty ... The 10k service at 44k (odd timing due to service stamps) only cost £110. Next one is the 60k big-un - has anyone ever used the pre-paid service plans as a way of reducing the hit on this one ?

40k service - that'll be £800 sir. Finally paid £678 once haggling finished - included new brake pads all round as they had too little material left to give expected life estimate. That was despite buying the car at 34k with full service prior to collection ... Good old Lexus Guildford. Must get round to dealer review when I have a spare hour. :duh:

Now I am intrigued - what happens to the paint work - does it not crack or weaken ?
