  1. Super looking car that. I was following a r34 gtt today, that looked great too!
  2. Mine are OK on my GS300. Though I have heard a slight squeal on rare occasions but I definitely hear them grip at slow speed, this is more of a shuddery sound (sound not feel) though. The wheels are dusted after 3 days driving. My previously bought pads had the wheels dusted the same day. These are most definitely stronger than my previous set. I have no complaints about bite.
  3. Nice one Norlec, the best bargain I've gotten from the bay is a set of rear Mintax discs and pads for £60.00 posted! Nice!
  4. Like it a lot! This is the stealthiest GS I've ever seen :-) I do think you should go for the GS MK2 Sport grill though. It would look great on your car. Nice work P
  5. Thanks for the comments guy's. Next mod is the flasher unit for the spoiler brake light only. NICE! :-) Watch this space - I'll youtube that one once done.
  6. I reset the ECU on my Mk1 once. No issues apart from a little rough running for 2 or 3 miles after while things re-calibrated themselves. HERE > CLICK ME < is how to reset the ECU on the Mk2 Let me know what happens if you do do it regarding the VVTI, if all is good I'll do my Mk2 aswell ;) Phil
  7. Well, after a hectic week and weekend so far, families, you gotta love em! I finally got around to looking at these lights again. Stav, you're a star, just needed to turn the connector around. The missing connector ended up being not a problem! Just taped the one not use up on the lights. Anyway - as promised, pictures below!! Standard Car New lights fitted Lights on Brakes on Brakes and reverse lights on I love them ;-) Just need to source some chrome look indicator bulbs now to take away the yellow tinge in the bottom of the lights Thanks for the help guy's
  8. I am getting some strange noises from the auxiliary belt on my GS Mk2. It started with a typical belt slipping noise, relieved with a spray of acf50, now the noise seems to be getting worse. First start in the morning is worst. The first thing I will try will be to tighten the belt .... but .... I have no idea where to start. Any advice would be appreciated.
  9. Welcome along Johnny. You know I owned a fiat once (for my sins) and was a member of the fiat forum, reading some of the posts you would think that fiats were the worst cars in the world. Mine was reliable and a great car. Saying that, I found the best ecu remappers for 1.9JTD engines on this forum (which I would not without it) and ended up with a 155bhp monster that was truely a great drive. The deeper you delve the more good stuff you find. Some of tips and tricks will also save you a fortune no doubt too. For me, the best part is the stuff you learn. Sound like a lovely car you have got there, I'm jealous :-) All the best.
  10. Buy it, just lose the windscreen sticker before you go out driving in it
  11. It has been tried before by members on here but it lead to rough running for the GS
  12. You can't get better than from the horses mouth! ..... so they say Hopefully this will be of value to the IS300 guy's. All I got from them is that they do not cater for the GS300 - with the typhoon filter anyway.
  13. You seem to have answered your own question there then. The only option if you don't want to spend. ;) Even if it does not work (taking off the rear silencers) they will need to be replaced at MOT time anyway, so you are the man to decide if it does or does not work. Mustang anyone?
  14. I have bought both front and rear Mintex discs and pads for my GS from fleabay with no problems at all. These brakes bite!
  15. You now have one more member :-)

  18. Welcome to LOC mate
  19. I nearly bought a set of these for my Mk1. I called them to check they were in stock and they never were, even though they were advertised for sale on eBay. They also had no idea when they would get them either. In the end, I did not purchase! As for what they would look like, they are 10mm lower than the standard sport springs, I have no idea how much they would sag on-top of this after some use.
  20. Hey Steve - Thanks for that Toyo Diagram. Looking at it, all I need do is purchase the socket and wire assembly (4 part as shown) and plug it all in!! I will speak to Lexus tomorrow - Once I have checked to see they work Stav! Cheers Phil
