  1. I think you need 3 phase electrics to be able to offer 22kw charge speeds. Most houses in the UK will only have single phase electrics which is limited to 7kw.
  2. I love that copper colour. Is that an RZ450e in the photos also?
  3. I would definitely be up for this. It wouldn’t surprise me if most GSFs on here are suffering with at least one trim piece that was affected. I think so far we have @hockeyedwards and @mrfunex. There was also @ColinBarbers car which has since been sold and also a couple more but, I think they have been sold also.
  4. Both the GSFs currently advertised on AT seem to be suffering from their interior carbon delaminating also 🙄.
  5. Yes, I don’t think any GSF was fitted with a GPF and the last two (IIRC) were registered in 2019.
  6. It’s happening in the UK as well as America so it’s a general manufacturing defect. Both interior and exterior parts.
  7. I think you have dodged a potential bullet with the carbon roof, given that a lot of the carbon on the GSFs are delaminating.
  8. Yes you are right. It was the fuel pump. Replaced under warranty without any hassle by Bristol Lexus.
  9. I think the lower tax cars are RCF’s and GSF’s registered after 1st April 2017. I don’t think it’s to do the the addition of a GPF though.
  10. I think you might find that the GS460 sold in lower numbers than the GSF 😂
  11. I wasn’t a fan of your 3IS conversion but this is stunning. Fantastic work and as mentioned above, the lights finish it off nicely. Out of interest, how well do these lights perform in the dark, compared to the OEM DRL lights ?
  12. I like the idea of this, but can never find an installer that I trust around our area. I also find that no one (including some car enthusiasts) seems to know what the GSF is. Most think it’s a normal Lexus Hybrid, so with that in mind, is it that desirable to thieves?
  13. Oh that’s what I didn’t want to hear, the gear surround going. I have seen it on the US forums but was being optimistic that only the dash and door trims were affected. I guess it’s going to happen to all of us at some point. Hopefully someone can become an expert at resorting these pieces in the future. Complete rubbish from Lexus, clearly a manufacturing defect. Damn ‘inappropriate cleaners’ and air freshers 🤦🏽‍♂️🙄
  14. Just seen this. Not sure I have the skill or nerve to do this! Carbon DIY repair
  15. We have had our ‘12 plate RX450 for 8 years and find the seats very comfortable.
  16. We have a 2017 model with AVS. Very happy with the ride, it’s used as a daily driver and family car and I find it very comfortable. Much better than our RX450h F Sport.
  17. Yes as above, this is typical Lexus being lazy with their literature. A copy and paste from the Toyota warranty page.
  18. Only facelift models from MY09 had connectivity to make phone calls. If it is a model without the Multimedia option fitted , then it is a little more complicated to connect your phone as there isn’t a large touchscreen. Facelift models mentioned above also came with the ability to stream music via bluetooth around the MY09 year. As mentioned above, only SE-L models came with the illuminated sills. Even the IS F wasn’t fitted with this option. Our MY11 SEL with DRLs didn’t come with the follow me home light option.
  19. Lexus has never offered a 5 year warranty in this country. As mentioned above, that was Toyota. It sounds like the previous owner purchased the Lexus extended warranty, which was available prior to the introduction, and has transferred it over to you. Again, as mentioned above, the Extended Warranty is closer to first 3 year Manufacturers warranty and more comprehensive than the Relax version.
  20. Lexus updated their cruise control around MY18 to allow it to be used at all speeds. The adaptive cruise will also bring the car to a stop, unlike the pre MY18 cars which just cut off below ~30mph.
  21. Even though this is probably just a bit of programming I doubt this is possible. Lexus cars don't seem to be as configurable as European cars. It seems to be available on Lexus models from MY18.
  22. Yes I’ve had these fitted by Lexus and experienced the same problem. They were very cheap compared to the proper versions. Threw them away after a couple of days and replaced them with the correct version. They are made to fit a range of Lexus vehicles also so maybe that’s one of the reasons they are rubbish, as they don’t actually adapt to all shapes of windscreens. Both these and the original versions were available from Lexus Parts Direct as OEM replacements. I found the same Original DENSO wipers can also be purchased from Euro Car Parts (in DENSO not Lexus Branded packaging) for a cheaper price when ECPs have a discount going, which was quite often.
  23. I don’t think so, £40k for a 2016 model still looks pretty strong to me. Whether or not they sell at that price is a different matter.
  24. I’m out. @toffee_pie, your reasoning is complete shambles. I’m not wasting anymore time debating with someone who makes no sense whatsoever and constantly contradicts himself.
