  1. Good point about parking the other way around. Fortunately it hasn’t happened again since, so looks like it was due to the many reason everyone has mentioned above 👍🏾.
  2. Yes I’ve seen this video. To be honest it doesn’t really bother me. I personally found the controls relatively intuitive and had no real issues with them in our 1.5 hour test drive. I guess to the less tech savvy person it might all be too much and the menus may be a bit daunting. I can see what people were saying about the rear windows but it was no worse than our RX. To be fair it had more cameras than our RX so it was easier to park and the blind spot video that is shown on the dash when you indicate was fantastic. So for me the view out the rear wasn’t an issue. The reliability would be a worry but that is for the ICE models. The EV running gear is similar to that used in the Ioniq 5 and EV6 both of which have been pretty reliable. Time will tell though !
  3. I’m not sure if there will be much interest in this but after a 12 year run with Lexus, we are moving over to a Genesis for our next family car, to replace our faithful RX450h. The GSF is obviously staying 😊. Ideally we would have wanted to stay with the Lexus brand due its customer service and reliability (despite the carbon disappointment on the F), however, we have found ourself in need of a BEV as soon as possible. Unfortunately as good as the RZ450e looks, it doesn’t look like we would be able to get one until Q3/4 if 2023, which is far to late for us. Availability for the Electrified GV70 is from 2 weeks, if you are not fussy on the spec and can choose from the cars on their website. We have opted for all of the options bar the V2L and panoramic roof, so the expected delivery date for our car is the first week of April ‘23. Time will tell how accurate this is! We considered all the usual brands who offer a BEV SUV. I’m not one to follow the masses and love the relative rarity that Lexus brings, so we have decided on another niche Luxury brand who are aiming for Lexus customer service standards. So far so good. We have been assigned a ‘PA’ who has been fantastic. Questions are answered rapidly over the phone or via text at most hours of the day. Our order was placed 3 weeks ago (with a fully refundable deposit if we didn’t like the car after the test drive). We had our test drive yesterday and what a fantastic machine. I was initially worried about the build quality and perceived quality falling short of what we are used to with Lexus but both were fantastic. The interior was a lovely place to be in. The ride was good and very refined. Not a rattle or squeak on any road surface that we tried and it was rapid. GSF quick but without the noise, which I missed and took some of the fun away, but that’s EVs for you. However great as a family car as you can gain speed quickly more subtly 😂. So time will tell if Genesis lives up to our Lexus experience. I won’t be leaving the Lexus fold as the GSF is staying and I imagine we will be back fully in the future.
  4. Thanks @NemesisUK & @ColinBarber Great advice as usual. It all makes sense, I just get a little paranoid in these situations 🤦🏽‍♂️
  5. 😂. Fair enough. I wonder why it’s only just done it today when we have been at this house for the past 2.5 months. I check the oil twice a month and it doesn’t seem to have changed on the dip stick.
  6. Our GSF was last serviced in April 22 and has done approximately 2500 since. My week day commute is 7.5 miles each way and mostly in slow moving traffic but I do get to stretch it’s legs on the way home a few times a week. The water and oil are always up to temperature before this is done. Tonight after a bit of leg stretching on the way home, I pulled in to our drive where I was greeted with the Low Oil warning message. It would intermittently flick on and off before remaining on. It appeared again on restart. Now we have recently moved to a house where the drive is on a fair incline (our previous drive was flat) so I pulled the car off the drive where the message disappeared and have left it on a flat bit of road outside our house. I have checked the oil and it appears to be full, so I am assuming the message is because of the incline of the drive? I would have expected it to account for this or am I simply expecting too much?
  7. Very interesting. I will feed back what I find if people are interested
  8. Their website is quoting around 2 weeks if you choose a prebuilt one. Not sure how true this is. Unfortunately non of these are the spec we want so they are currently quoting 4-5 months for a new build.
  9. I was at Bristol Lexus this week as the GSF was in for new brakes and discs. I had a long conversation with the sales manager about the availability of the RZ450e and he mentioned Feb 23 for a test drive and June 23 for deliveries if you have pre ordered. I think we are going to go down the Genesis GV 70 Electrified route, as we need an EV to replace our RX ASAP. This is simply for business reasons as the RX is still going strong at 10 years old and I’m confident it will last another 5- 10 years without any major issues. It’s a shame as we like Lexus and would prefer to say with the brand for this purchase but the lead times are too long. The EV70 seems to be getting good views but we are waiting for a test drive in around 4 weeks before we push the button. Time will tell if their customer service will be anywhere near as good as Lexus.
  10. Not in my case. My rear spoiler is going at the same rate as my interior.
  11. Very disappointing 😞 I wonder if this is something the ‘Relax’ warranty would cover, should it happen ?
  12. Lovely looking car. We had a 2011 Artic Pearl IS250 SE-L with the F sport front bumper extensions, so it looked very similar. I can also confirm ours had no clicking noise in the 9 years and 90k miles we owned it.
  13. 😂. Mine was the nonexistent air freshener that had some how leaked all over the carbon trim. Basically just a bunch of idiots working at Lexus head office who have no idea what so ever. Clearly this is an manufacturing defect likely to affect most GSFs. Disappointing from Lexus. I would think twice about buying anything else from Lexus with carbon trim, which is a real shame.
  14. No, not yet. Still waiting for my dealer to see if anything can be done as good will, but I’m not too hopeful.
  15. Just one of the last ones registered (before the 2 ‘19 plate cars) at ab extraordinary price. Which Dealer is it at?
  16. I would be surprised if a GS450h was 70k as the GSF was around £73k.
  17. We had two IS250’s for several years a 2007 and a 2011 model, both SE-L spec. I found them to be a very comfortable car with adequate fuel economy for the engine. Yes it’s not the fastest car in its class but I don’t think that’s what the car is about. We ran it along side our RX450h so practically was good enough for us, although I agree the with the space in the back comment. We struggled with two car seats when our daughters came along. We swapped one of our IS250s three years ago for a GSF, which has been fantastic, however I don’t feel short changed during the everyday commute when I use our remaining IS250.
  18. Yes, whilst Relax is a good warranty, it’s not the most comprehensive. I would imagine the Lexus dealer would be more inclined to fix things that are not covered, than the independent should something crop up shortly after the sale.
  19. Wow, the main dealer one is serious money. It will be interesting to see how quick it sells, although Lexus Swindow seem to be the dealer that have shifted a few F cars in recent times. The Swindon car doesn’t have AVS where as the independent car does. I understand both are good set ups so it depends on how important that is also, to the buyer.
  20. Yes prices are now on the Lexus website. Premium Plus is from £66500 Takumi is from £72000 Not very competitive on paper but I will be interested to see what the quality of the final product is like. It’s a shame that the demos will not be available until next year. I’m also very tempted by the Genesis GV70 Electric to replace our RX450h. It looks good on paper.
  21. The ES is slightly longer 4975mm compared to the GSF which measures 4915mm. The GSF is wider at 2085mm compared to the ES at 1865mm. A standard GS is 1840mm wide.
  22. That LS is very nice. What is it like ?
