  1. Hi well thats down to you if you dont mind paying a little extra, with regards the water pump I personally would recommend you change it(along with tersioner/idler),its not going to cost you any extra in labour just parts. However bottom line is its your call.
  2. Hi guys they do fit but only 1 way, except i take mine out and put it back(am at work at the moment) i cant tell you which way, however try putting the tyre/wheel in slanting furtherest away from you first and if that doesnt work try putting it in slanting but this time nearest you first,Hope you understand what i mean and hope this helps
  3. Hello,I think they are updated every year, you could pm ACLex and he should be able to get you one or lexusmapudates or you could try cheaptoyotaparts or maybe flea bay(although you will need to know the part number/serial number).hope this helps.
  4. Hi in a way yes,but the lexus diagnostic will be able to tell about the fault in probably more detail than a local one as it would be more car specific rather than the local one which would be more general(all depending on what they have),hope this helps
  5. Hello and welcome to the LOC,hope you enjoy yourself as much as alot of us do ours. You can pm ACLex as he is the local LOC dealer(so to speak)or you could try flea bay but make sure you get a pair as they are several different shades and the last thing you want is 2 different ones.hope this helps
  6. hi,silly question but have you put your key in the drivers door key hole and tried to open the door that way as it should open the door manually/
  7. Hi had a mazda xedos 6 and the exhaust lasted 8 years with 96k miles on the clock befor it needed changing yet the exhaust on my wifes 2007 ford galaxy went this year with the car just under 5 yrs, seems the japs use better grade steel then.
  8. Hello, not going to get into a debate over it,however go out to your car, have look underneath at the exhaust then convince yourself that what you see is stainless steel, then check up the meaning of STAINLESS steel(emphasis being on the word stainless).Just dont believe everything you read or hear, check it out for yourself.
  9. Hello, not sure you are right in saying the oem exhaust is stainless steel,as far as I know its only the tailpipe/tip that is stainless steel not the entire system.
  10. Hi no you havent mines similar, some have the hub bit coated/painted and some dont, its the uncoated/unpainted ones that tend to show rust.
  11. Hi,if you are still looking for an OEM gear knob could could send ACLex a pm and he should be able to sort one out for you.
  12. Hi,it baffles me how specific instructions tend to get ignored or disregarded, however having said that, personally I would have the water pump changed at the same time as the cambelt as chances are it will fail sooner rather than later and you would then have to go through the whole process again just to change the WP.Furthermore if you have it done now you will be paying nothing more in labour costs just cost of the WP.Hope this helps.
  13. Hi while changing the water pump you might as well have the cambelt, idler and tensioner changed too(especially if you dont know if its been done)
  14. Hi you can use lexusmapsupdate web site or you could send ACLex a pm and he should be able to help you.Updated my disc in 2010 and it cost me £139.00.Hope this helps
  15. Hi,if you cant get it to work you might need the services of an audio/stereo repair man or someone with auto electric knowledge as this is possibly an after market item fitted to your car
  16. Hi,personally would have both done at the same time, there are places like(WIM) that will do tracking/allignment(full geometry)for a little over a hundred pounds or thereabouts. As regards tyres your budget is good enough for a decent set of tyres would try goodyears, bridgestones, dunlops, continentals and the like etc, would stay away from budget ones though.Hope this helps
  17. Hi,good choice i would say yes, although I prefer the pipercross,in terms of benefit not a lot really.
  18. Hi, I am not sure myself, but if i am not wrong there are threads on here that deal with this issue as others have encountered the same problem.Try going through the archive section not forgetting to type in sat nav, hope this helps.
